Lovely double knitting colourwork! #double knitting #colourwork # knitting
It’s time for me to brag about my knitting again! And with this project 9 months in the making, I think I’m entitled a bit. ;)
This is the Inari Kitsune pattern by Tania Richter, during which I learned that I am a slow-ass knitter because I could NEVER have done this KAL in the allotted time. But still, I’m really proud of how it came out. I recommend full view, to see the details!
It’s reversible and really super soft

DK double knitting STAR WARS! Great motifs #charts #knitting
The double knitting technique is great. It has a light side, and a dark side, it binds the scarf together… you can see where I’m going with this can’t you. I only found out about double knitting this past summer and got monumentally carried away. This Star Wars Scarf is just one of the results.
Click on the knitting charts for full sized images. They are worked in order bottom to top.
Edit: For everyone asking I used UK size 10 (3.25mm) needles and the yarn was a reasonably priced dk weight (8ply). I used about 150g of each colour but I knit pretty tightly so you may want to get extra.

A poster I have been working on for my graduation show. It is my final project - ‘Legends From Around the World’, a collaboration with Becky Jenkinson, Emily Jackson, Matt Tebbutt, Oliver Flewitt and Rob Havinden.
‘Legends From Around the World’ is a compendium of five films, each based on different legends and tales. Going from left to right in this poster:
Amaterasu the Sun Goddess - a Japanese creation story
La Llorona - a South American horror story
The Jersey Pest - a North American urban myth
The Fox Woman - a Native American and Inuit tale
The Griffin - based on Mongolian folklore
