To clarify:

Tom Casiello came up with Loba's design because he loved the respect with which the female characters in the game were handled, but also felt that erasing a woman's sexuality completely was just as sexist as objectifying them. He wanted to create a character that was badass, embraced her body without shame, and still grew up to be successful in her chosen path in life.

He went to the other female devs, writers and artists for approval on Loba's design. He asked those women for their thoughts and input. Not his male coworkers, but the women she would represent. He handed that premise off to Ashley Reed, who worked to bring her to life through her dialogue and design.

Stop acting like Loba was created to be some gross male fantasy. Stop perpetuating the idea that women who look a certain way are bad or less than in some way. They aren't.

@apex-legends-champion headcanons about Bloodhound inspired me to imagine my headcanon as well. I built them on the few knowledge we have on the place called “New Dawn” and the theory I made in the past. Note: I used @apex-legends-champion headcanon name for Bloodhound “Niroshen” because she did a great job at finding it. Hope you don’t mind it ! Also sorry for any grammar etc. mistakes. English’s not my mother tongue but I tried my best to make it decent 👌

Artur and Johann, two brothers born in a rich family of merchant, grew up in the tales told by their mother about the Allfather, the god watching with his Eye the actions of each fighters, in order to judge if they are worthy to join his army in the sky.

But as times went by, the two children lost their interest in those fancy folks tales and entered their adulthood in the normal society...

Only on the surface.

Deep in his heart, Artur kept all the stories and the pride of his mother.

But as everyone mocked him, he closed his heart and isolated himself from the others, having no one to turn to. (Even his own brother told to grow up and be more mature).

And as Johann took the place of his father as the leader of the family company, Artur struggled to find his place and ended up as a workman on Talos, to built the city of “New Dawn”.

Time kept on going and Johann got married to Brigida, who later gave birth to Niroshen.

Then they decided to move to Talos: first for Johann to get closer to his brother, second the rare mineral compound discovered on the planet caught the interest of the merchant.

Since both parents were extremely busy, they often asked Artur to take care of Niroshen.

They grew close but Artur had to keep his faith for himself...

Until that day.

The two were walking in a wild part of “New Dawn”, as they used to do it almost everyday, when Artur saw the look Niroshen gave to a crow flying by.

He saw the little one holding their arm high above their head.

He saw the bird immediately landing in their arm.

They were a chosen one.

Despite his brother’s warnings, Artur passed on the legacy of the family to Niroshen, just like his mother did.

But the realistic talk of their father clashed with their uncle’s words in the child’s mind.

Until a deadly fire destroyed a freshly built sector. That’s a possible risk of living near an active volcano right ?

A lot of people were trapped.

Johann and his family were among them.

Only Niroshen survived.

Since then, this day will always be a day of grief and death... but also hope and resurrection.

Although Niroshen lost their ability to breath without medical devices, the Allfather gave them in exchange enhanced senses and the eyes of a predator: eyes able to see the preys even in the deepest night.

Niroshen and their uncle needed to prove their strength to earn a place in the Eye of the Allfather and honour the gift he sent to them.

Unfortunately Artur never had this chance, as he was killed during the explosion of the thermal tower.

Niroshen and a lot of other inhabitants moved to safer areas around “New Dawn” and built their own community of hunters.

Now Bloodhound is now prepared for the fight, joining the Apex Games to honour the memory of those who put their life ahead of theirs.

(Btw I have a “scientific” reason for the enhanced senses but I’m not going to write it here. Ask in comment if you want to know it !)

And here’s my unmasked headcanon Bloodhound, inspired by @7clubs ‘s one. Still need to practice human anatomy tho
