I feel like it's a success when I make a character that I myself fall a little in love with, and I think that happened with my Rook. A kind man with a flippant view of the world, but with a warm and open heart, and a smile that spreads like the sunrise. A man who bottles up his own hurts because he doesn't want to trouble his friends.

I also feel extremely fortunate I ended up landing him with Emmrich, as they are utterly adorable together. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Emmrich overall... dare I say he might be one of the most satisfying romances in the game...?

I think I'll finally be finishing my first playthrough of Veilguard tonight on my stream! To celebrate, I tried dusting off the drawing cobwebs and drew Emmrich with my Rook, having a little dance to themselves in the Necropolis...

I played FFXI back in the day all the way through Wings of the Goddess, so when the new FFXI alliance raid "Echoes of Vana'diel" arrived in FFXIV, I couldn't help myself and had to make a mock title screen in the same theme as FFXI's own title screen.
