Yayoi Yokoyama DAYDREAM March 5 – 9, 2024
Opening Reception Tuesday, March 5, 6–8pm
Yayoi Yokoyama believes that there is no boundary between digital and analog, aiming to complete a piece of CG art as if she were producing a painting. By superimposing the curves of a real woman’s body on the abstract curvaceous beauty unique to CG, Yokoyama, with her 3D programing, reveals women’s thoughts and doubts deeply concealed in their minds.

Kazuko Hyakuda LIGHT AND SHADE
August 30 – October 3, 2023
Preview Reception: Wed. August 30, 4–6pm
Although the real world, and photographs, is in color, Hyakuda's works expressed in solarplate intaglio are consistently in monochrome. How far does achromatic black penetrate viewers' hearts, and how far does it reach the sensibilities of those who see it with colors different from reality? Hyakuda attempts to touch on the subtleties of the universe by creating a contrast between light and shadow.

YAYOI YOKOYAMA  One Or Other
March 6 - April 9, 2019
Reception: Friday, March 8, 5-7pm
Yayoi Yokoyama features two series of motifs in her recent graphic arts: one is of virtual statues of a woman and the other is of imaginary veins of a leaf. Common themes between them are never-interrupted streams such as time and space, blood and genealogy, and perception and creation. Facing these subtle and sensuous expressions, viewers could find themselves as a part of nature streaming from the past to the future.
