hi! i dont know if this has been asked already, but im curious abt vint and bonnies relationship! whats their dynamic?

Thank you for the ask... their dynamic actually changes throughout the series!

In the first/pilot episode and the first few after that they're essentially enemies. After Vint travels for the first time he gets annoyed that Bonnie is, presumably, living in his office. Her insistence that he doesn't live there (anymore) pisses him off for a while. Despite her positive personality, Bonnie is actually pretty annoyed by him too.

Sometime in the second or third episode they form a compromise: since Vint has no idea how to use the time machine and would explode if he tried again, Bonnie says she'll help with his case too if she can also stay to keep him from... well, dying. (Vint doesn't question this. Yet.)

Soon their relationship develops into more "bickery coworkers"- half of the time it seems like they hate each other's guts and the other half they work really well together.

One time jump in particular in the latter half of the first season gets Vint to open up about his mom and the case itself and brings the two closer together... presumably.

From that point on, they act similarly, though it seems more friendly than anything.

Vint also seems to develop a (one-sided) crush on Bonnie but this is overshadowed by the fact that he's slowly starting to go insane, which Bonnie is also the first to take notice of.

Weirdly enough, how they act seems to shift, with Vint as the happier one (albeit from mental instability) and Bonnie acting stricter towards him so he won't end up killing himself on accident(?).

That's pretty much where their dynamic is at this point...

There's also the whole thing near the end of the series where Vint thinks Bonnie's been manipulating him but that's a story for another day.

A dark comedy(?) series with short episodes involving an undead guy (or various undead characters) experiencing different events of simple life, including breathing, communicating, and even falling in love, all under the voiceover of a “guiding” narrator.
