i do wonder what it would be like to die of tuberculosis. what would that even feel like
#tacking on to prev ever so slightly because i have CF lol and it’s very similar to this when you’re in the middle of an exacerbation#my lungs are currently pretty stable aside from some fucky asthma shit also probably stemming from covid#although my lung function is high and stable thanks to modern treatments for which i am immensely grateful#but yeah a lot of my childhood and teen years were spent fighting severe lung infections that would have killed me eventually#if not for aggressive repeated rounds of IV antibiotics (which without the modulators would have eventually become ineffective)#but yeah. different bacteria than TB but similar symptoms and outcomes#chapter 6 cut me very deeply because I’ve NEVER seen an accurate representation of terminal lung disease in any form of media#i knew it was going to happen and it still absolutely broke me because his actor gave such diligent performance#i’ve been that sick before. i’ve been arthur sitting on a rock just trying to catch his breath. i’ve been arthur coughing up blood & gasping#but i had modern medicine and he had nothing. it cuts deeper than i can express
