POALOF fic recs

New to the POALOF fandom and want to read a fic but don't know where to start? Here's my recommendations in a non chronological order with the author's presumed tumblr blog attached if I could find it (and appropriate comments)

1. anna karenina, or, how to court a lady in moscow by levlinwinlaer

(The first portrait fic I read. Filled to the the brim with outstanding chemistry and a engaging plotline. Sort of a very dramitic ballerina au if one was to summarize.)

2.  Phenomenon by @ridiculousmavis

(I usually don't choose favorites, but this one is my favorite. The only WIP on this list too. An darkly humoresque X-Files au where M&H solve weekly cases tying to the fic's overarching plot line, and fighting eachother's struggles while simultaneously falling in love. The characters are all very mature, with a gripping story. Updates are relatively far in between but it is definitely worth it when a new chapter is added.)

3.  Far from the Tree by @shorts84

(Where to begin? one beautiful, very English setting, and two beautiful, very English teachers. The relationships in this fic are plenty yet none of them are underdeveloped. The trials and tribulations H&M face are human and real, none of the characters are beyond redemption, even Jodie, you absolute brat. A definitely enjoyable read to be appropriately exprienced with a hot drink to your side.)

4.  no hard feelings by Appleface

(Never thought I'd like a fake dating au to such an extent but...VERY satisfying. VERY high tension between H & M. 10/10 with a digital kiss to boot)

5.  because, maybe by @intextrovert

(Very fluffy, very warm fic with the most nostalgic, yet also most refreshing use of the roadtrip trope I've ever seen (or read?)

6.   Always and everywhere by FeedMeHardy

(Time travelling au with lots of angst, good usage of pov, and an ending that I always cannot get through without at least a few tears forming in my eyes. Far surpasses the original novel's enjoyment for me)
