Original poster has replies turned off so I thought I would respond to it as a reblog as someone both working on the new Nacelleverse reboot and as someone pretty close to Tom.

* Up until the end of 2022, Rick Ungar owned the IP ( intellectual property ) of ‘Biker Mice from Mars’. He sold the rights to Nacelle at the end of 2022

* As Nacelle now owns the IP, anything they make using it they can choose to declare as either canon or AU. As fans, you still have the right to not accept it if you don’t want. The 2006 Biker Mice from Mars series is technically canon, but a lot of fans don’t accept it’s lore ( myself included ).

* The current comic ‘Trilogy’ of the ‘Biker Mice’ first meeting Stoker and becoming Freedom Fighters is new canon being created by Nacelle. Other comics Nacelle is helming such as ‘Toxic Earth’ are going to be considered AU’s and not canon. Just entertaining ‘what-ifs’.

There is a possibility for additional canon comics in the future.

* My main job at Nacelle is consulting on lore and canon of the original franchise, and trying to make sure it’s being followed. Nacelle still plans to do some of its own things, but they have expressed wanting to be as faithful as they can for the sake of the fans.

I have made art contributions as well to the character model sheets to make sure we’re getting familiar and well-loved versions of the fandom’s beloved characters. Nacelle has been very open to the feedback.

*Unfortunately, whatever Tom or Rick wishes doesn’t come into play. Rick sold that right away. It is what it is. Myself and another hired fan do their best on the daily to make sure fandom voices are heard.

BMFM by Nacelleverse is canon?

Are these comics in any way canon? This "Nacelleverse", does this mean the stories will connect to other original universes? BMFM creators, Ungar and Tataranowicz in any way approved it?

Ben 10 x Biker Mice From Mars

The bros are really impressed by Ben's ability to turn into one of them and next up they're gonna teach him to ride a motorcycle ✨

My main male OC, Carver.

TW: Domestic abuse

I love characters that are in need of redemption, and Carver is no exception. He is an ex-convict, who was a petty thief almost all his life. Despite being a Freedom Fighter now, he tends to keep to himself, as he deals with a lot of prejudice. He has a mark cut into his left shoulder, that identifies his cell block, which was reserved for murderers.

Of course, hardly anyone gives him the chance to explain. Despite being a petty thief for the most part and being in and out of jail for his offenses, he was eventually convicted of the murder of his brother-in-law, whom routinely abused his sister and his nephew. His brother-in-law finally went too far, beating Carver's sister to death and before he could harm her child, Carver strangled him in turn.

Despite the circumstances, Carver was sentenced to life imprisonment, and he never saw his nephew again, who disappeared within the foster care system. When the Plutarkians invaded, they shut down all the prisons and moved the prisoners directly to the labor camps and rock quarries. Carver was able to escape, and joined the Freedom Fighters, thinking it would give him the best network to find out whether his little nephew had survived the war, and hopefully, find him.

Carver comes from a rough background, but his obsession with locating his dead sister's son and raising him completely changes the life he leads. As time goes on, it becomes obvious that there is a truly good person underneath his weathered exterior.

Old art I kinda hate now. I have terrible color theory and I really struggled with how to finish this image. Some things I still like. Maybe I’ll revisit someday. The following text was written when it was originally uploaded in 2017 ( originally drawn in 2012 ):

I can't look at this piece anymore. I originally drew it in 2012 over 5 years ago, and every year since I have been tweaking it and playing with it since because I thought it had potential but I could never quite get it right. So I think it's time to finally move on and just upload the point it has been completed to now.

This originally started out as an idea about insecurities, and I wanted to display characters that were outwardly tough and confident at their most vulnerable- 'unmasked' if you will. But it also addresses love and loss, personal conflict, and holding on to pasts and moving forward and letting go. Just about every person who has seen this already has come up with their own very unique, interesting interpretation of this piece and I thoroughly enjoy that and welcome it.

What does this piece mean to you? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Quick n’ dirty Throttle sketch, coz I really need to practice dynamic action shots and foreshortening more. Always a great excuse to draw macho mice. I really got lazy on the concrete. I think I did this in about an hour, which is a record for me since everything else takes MONTHS.

Okay, I know this is a super-old pic ( almost 10 years old ) and I really wanted to get a new one done for Halloween this year, but I have a very good excuse for being too busy! I’m officially working on the new ‘Biker Mice from Mars’ animated series.

Hopefully I can get some new VinniexCharley holiday fluff done for either Thanksgiving or Christmas instead.
