Blog update

This blog has been a bit of a wreck since I first made it. Initially, it started out as an ask/RP blog and a way for me to express my character. And well... it ended in a failure.

While I know my inactivity doesn’t do it any favors, this never picked up. Several posts about asks went up and I got one ask. Then I thought about just keeping the blog for posting art of Arphire and Barshu (and Willow, assuming I ever bring her out of limbo) it just feels... pointless. The art goes up on my main blog anyway, there’s no reason to even post it on this one.

On top of all this, my focus hasn’t really been around Arphire. I want to keep his lore close to the canon, and with Bandle City lore currently in the works I didn’t want to take all this time to write a story, then have it be filled with information that doesn’t fit in the lore, and have to re-write the entire thing.

Couple that with tons of different ideas and directions, and you have my current situation.

While it may be too soon to say: This blog may be going on a hiatus, and may be re-worked entirely.

I feel like this whole blog ended in a disaster, due to I guess my character not being interesting, my inactivity, the fact I don’t draw him NEARLY as much as other OC blogs, my art skills being mediocre at best, and just... yordles being unpopular, in general.

Maybe I’ll change my tune, maybe I’ll rework it to a blog for Tales From Bandle City so I don’t spam up my main with its constant exploration and text posts. Maybe I’ll just full on delete this blog.

- Anything involving these characters will be uploaded/retweeted here. This includes art I create, lore and fan art from others.

Arphire’s Relationships with Other Yordles

//This section is wip, as I haven’t fully thought everything through. Barshu will also get some friendships later on. This has been a slow process as I’ve been working on other things too. Need to do something on this blog since it’s small still.

Veigar: Good friends. Arphire met Veigar before he had traveled to Runeterra many years ago, and while the two were friends, they didn’t get to spend a lot of time together before Veigar left and didn’t return. He has heard of Veigar’s fate, and while relieved Veigar is still alive, it disheartens Arphire to hear the fate of his friend.

Norra: His childhood friend. She and him went on many adventures, and she was the one that introduced him to the elemental dragons of Ixtal. He always loved travelling with her. Her adventurous spirit reflected his own, and the two had gotten along well at such a young age. They were best friends up until her mysterious disappearance.

Tristana: Acquaintances. He believes Tristana could be a good friend, but she never seems interested in talking to him, likely due to her training new recruits to the Bandle Gunners. Regardless, he still intends on befriending her someday.

Ooc post: Arphire’s hat will be getting some slight changes in the near future, as I’m not happy with the orange flames. While I think of something else to replace them with, here’s some basic info about both Arphire and Barshu (Note that Willow’s info is still coming):

Arphire

Gender: Male

Species: Yordle

Age: 19 (human years)

Homeland: Arphire lives in a cottage inside the main village of Bandle City with his parents, though he spends more time traveling than at home.

Class: Fire Mage

Personality: Good natured, curious, thrill seeking, and a bit of a nerd.

Hobbies: Other than exploring the realms, Arphire loves cooking and stargazing.

Barshu

Gender: Male

Species: Dragon

Age: 17 (human years)

Original homeland: A now destroyed ruin site in Ixtal

Class: Fire dragon

Personality: Angry, cocky, and a show-off

Hobbies: Hunting fish and small insects, dozing off in sunrays.

Personally I like to call them Elphire and Barsnow here.

Small temp bio I made for Arphire and Barshu -

Traveling in and out of Bandle City, Arphire is a yordle mage with a burning passion for dragons, and an adventurous spirit, that few yordles can match. Arphire has been to the many lands, and even explores pockets of the spirit realms that no one dares to travel. He brings back artifacts from various regions of Runeterra, and various trinkets he found in the unexplored pockets of the spirit realm to his yordle brethren back in Bandle City. With his dragon partner Barshu perched on his shoulder, he seeks to spread the truth about dragons and explore the unknown areas of both material and spirit realm alike.
