So, Here I am, in whatever new or old mess this app is. I know nothing about it, or how it works, so, a new journey.

I had hoped my first post here would be something wonderful and profound...

But the truth is, I'm simply too exhausted for that at the moment. So, an awkward intro it is.

My pen name is Willow S. Phoenix. You can call me Willow, or Will. I'm cool with either. I use my pen name (I'm a writer. I write Crime Drama, and anything else that the muses tell me,) on public platforms for safety reasons.

I'm a single mom from the midwest. My son is the light if my life. Even though I feel I fall short daily, he always finds way to show me why it is I'm fighting. He has Autism, ADHD and some cognative delays, but you'd never know it if you weren't told.

I'm Romani, Sicilian, and a dash of so many other things. I'm a melting pot, and I embrace it. I mostly relate to my Romani/Sicilian backgrounds, much more than the other parts of me. And, it's been a fascinating journey; learning who and what I am, and coming into my own. It's also been a hellish journey.

And, I'm hoping to find a new niche here in this space. We're gonna discover together. Me and my one good friend who found me here, Tim! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the follow bud.

My goal here, is to explore; motherhood, my Romani kitchen, and... To face down some demons as we explore a little discussed topic; early generation Americans whom still live a world apart. Some of us still have a very immigrant life, even born and raised here. As only a 2nd generation Anerican, it's hard to not experience the world here a little differently than others. Especially being from what, in this nation is an extreme minority culture...

So, bare with me as I attempt to learn the app, learn myself, and hopefully we make some friends along the way.
