hey fun little leit motif i caught. the theme from "our hextech dream" when jayce and viktor first meet and come up with hextech is used in their final scene together, building up to "we finish this together." in case you wanted to scream and pound your fists a little harder.

I wanted to make a proper post about Katniss' crush on Peeta before, during and after the games after reblogging that post. So getting my screenshots from there and adding some more
Had to divide thg and sequels for how long the post had become.
Before starting, I must say I love how Suzanne Collins writes the teen characters as teens instead of being mature for their ages or acting like they are in their mid 20s/30s. This is how I'd imagine a teenager, who had to grow up in dystopian AU and has only survival in her mind, deal with emotions.
Evidence for Katniss' crush on Peeta in The Hunger Games
Let's start with Katniss' reaction to Peeta being reaped:
Katniss associating Peeta with spring and dandelion:
Katniss noticing things about him in the past Part 1
Katniss noticing things about him in present Part 2:
Katniss getting immediately defensive when Haymitch strikes Peeta:
She finds comfort in Peeta and more importantly, he feels safe for her Part 1:
Katniss blushes upon receiving compliment from Peeta:
Katniss hasn't been talking to Peeta for a long time, yet she feel he's safe enough to reveal a secret like this Part 2:
Katniss noticing Peeta and keeping track of him part 3
Katniss getting very defensive about Peeta suggesting she has a boyfriend:
Katniss blushing when she hears Peeta having a crush on her even though she quickly thinks he was lying:
Katniss finding comfort and safety with Peeta once again:
Katniss feels stirring in her when they kiss whilst being fully aware, and wants another kiss:
He makes her feel safe Part 3:
She kisses him for herself, not for audience:
The implication of Peeta dying has Katniss shook:
Even though they haven't been talking for a long time and she had had doubts about him, Katniss trusts Peeta with her life. Their backs turned each other, no way they can know if the other will actually go through with the plan. Yet they still trust each other. We know how hard it is for Katniss to open up and trust someone, but she does for Peeta for her own life:

Celebrian soft and cute could be great
Honestly, I would love to see Celebrian as a cute princess. Not a warrior like her mum, but with her own strength. Like Disney did with Aurora in Maleficent or Cinderella. And I think it's necessary. Why? Here my out! ;)
In recently years I have the impression that there is only one concept for "strong" female character: warrior, badass and sometimes rude. (And most of the time the writers who wrote those kind of female character are men... coincidence?). But... If we (women) aren't the same in reality, why should be the female characters the same? Why should they have the same interests, being badass, etc? Another good example of female characters with their own strength: Little Women. The girls are great and different in their own way.
In conclusion, I imagine Celebrian gentle and soft. Because those qualities don't make you weak. You have to be strong enough to be kind. And that is perfect for Elrond, who has suffered so much… I can see him falling in love with Celebrian because she reminds him there's still good and kindness in this world that is worthy to protect and care....and love.
PS: I know, Celebrian in the books have seen a lot of death too, but not in ROP because she still didn't even exist (lol) so... She still doesn't have any trauma and can easily be this gentle and soft princess.

I've read a few theories about his facial expression after talking to Mirdania, but… I think this theory makes a lot of sense. He's truly worried for Galadriel. Also, see now him watching in the distance, with a river in between him and Galadriel… He's in a tower… She's in the forest… It's like a mirror of how he is going to spend centuries: watching her in the distance, she in Lothlorien and him in Dol Guldur.
It may seem hypocritical for Sauron to be worried about Galadriel's well being after all that they have been through and how he has hurt her. But I think it's important to note that he doesn't actually wish to harm her in the way that we would understand the word. He has gone to great lengths to preserve her life but as he had said to Celebrimbor, pain is a part of the reforging process. He knows what can break her and what can fortify her strength. He is a smith after all. And he knows her. Hence, my next submission to the "Sauron knew Galadriel was captured by Adar" in episode 6 thesis.
He is always in tune with her. That connection is something always foremost in his consciousness and his priorities. When he gets that sadistic message from Adar, he appears immediately stricken. It is not his wish that she be collateral damage, that she be harmed. Look at his expression. It's grief, a fleeting moment of despair and even remorse? He ascends the parapet and looks towards the orc encampment. His gaze is piercing.
A multitude of emotions seems to pass over his face and he just focuses on the horizon. Gaze penetrating. Then a bright beam of sunlight crosses his face just as that happens. I've concluded that this is meant to symbolize the moment he reaches across their connection to "pluck" at her fea. To feel her presence, her frame of mind and emotions. As I and others have concluded, the directors use light and color to symbolize their synergetic bond.
The shot then goes from where his eyes were trained on (presumably where Galadriel is) and back to his face. Sauron's eyes go from pensive and worried to a smirk. He sees her now. And the very next shot is inside of Adar's tent.
The shot pans up very slowly, but I don't think that's the perspective of Adar. I think that is Sauron's mind's eye feeling out for her. Until ding! There his elf is. And she's in her best form: pissed off, defiant and murderous. He loves it. More importantly, she's not wounded or dead. He also probably knows what they are discussing. Him. And how she feels about it. Heartbroken. Despite his relief in her relative safety, he doesn't doubt she can handle herself. But he also knows she is impulsive and may act like a reckless horse. This fits why he suddenly ratchets the urgency to make the 9 rings. He goes from a 6 to a 10931. As usual, his wild elf warrior colt princess has thrown him for a loop.

Rewatch of the ROP Finale Fight Scene
>> Warning: Clearly biased and delusional Haladriel here! <<
I admit that on the first watch I had some issues with the fight, not so much that it was a poor fight, or unbelievable, more that I felt there was more missed potentials. I think a lot of that was my fan or shipping head canons.
Could I imagine a different way it goes down or ends? Yes.
But here are some positives
From the very moment they are onscreen together, Sauron tries to de-escalate. He snuck up behind her and walked past while she was holding the Nine rings and Nenya. Her first words were a question, a pointed one, but it's satisfying they began on speaking terms, and then his calm response actually backed up my opinion that the Season 1 events that got them together were not his design.
She is the one that picked up the sword and swung first.
He struck back but she was the aggressor. What might have happened if she had run away? Or maybe used the Light rather Strength to overcome him?
Anyway. The shift to Halbrand was a bit of a low blow. He reiterated his feelings for her were not all an illusion and then immediately turned into an illusion of not only Halbrand, but then herself (?) and Celebrimbor. Like appearing as her murdered brother, these don't seem to be good strategies for winning someone over who mistrusts you. But ok, he is a villain and showing off perhaps.
As Halbrand he never strikes a blow at her, he speaks, walks away and dodges her first strikes. Even as Galadriel form he mainly parries her rather than attacks. Then as Celebrimbor he stomps the stone structure to collapse rather than striking at her. I could have used more Halbrand fighting her though over the magic show spectacle, but it was cool I will say.
When she once more asserts the Door is Shut, (because of course with her people's city in ruins, Celebrimbor tortured and killed, the threat of Sauron in the future, she has no choice narratively), and then takes that moment to kick him hard in the face does Sauron seem to become enraged. He is hurt, his pride is wounded to, just as Celebrimbor did with his dying words. He takes his anger out on the rocks and her sword but doesn't really try to land a killing blow.
Once she slices his cheek he seems to have said "I've had enough of her" and let the rage take over. Even then what does he do? He uses the crown not the sword to impale her. Which is pretty toxic, I do agree, although how many times as she tried to stab him and gotten a pass?
Caveat that I've never been stabbed in the chest, but that was very suggestive of them to say the least.
He could have reached over and taken the Nine and Nenya once more. But didn't. The speech he gave then about what he would have done for her as his Queen is really something. It's not meant to convince her of anything I don't think. He has lost that part of her (The Door is Shut). At least that's my thinking. He just wants her to know since at that moment he knows he would have won and has nothing to lose by telling her the truth of how he feels or maybe once felt.
By the way she was stabbed by two spikes but only seems to have one wound?
Still after the creepy face he lets her fall. Takes the nine and then asks her for Nenya.
I guess this is ambiguos. Is it plot armor for her? Did he really think the crown's poison would not kill her but drag her spirit to the unseen world? Was this the method he used to bind souls to his werewolves in the book legendarium?
It's not clear why he still would need her or want that versus take her life like he took Celebrimbor's.
The simplest explanation would be that he wants her alive and to be at his side, whatever he selfishly thinks of that.
My main disappointment was probably that we didn't get either a redemptive angle on Sauron or perhaps a Galadriel trying to tempt him back in someway. Maybe those were just crazy head canon ideas. I think having evil Sauron be obsessed with Galadriel and her light is about what I expected before coming into Season 2.

Elrond to Celebrian: "If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more. But you know what I am. You hear nothing but truth from me".
Celebrian went to Rivendell with Galadriel searching for Celeborn, where she first met Lord Elrond, who loved her in secret. Centuries later they married.
He's now my Mr Knightley from Emma <3
