blog 4. the entrepreneurial mind week four ♡
final week, finally.
Days before our final pitching presentation, we realized that there were a lot of things that we need to finish. We made sure that we had enough data to ensure how likely users would avail of our product since the validation of our start-up business was one of the very reasons why we were so motivated to do and finish our tasks.
After data gathering, we then proceeded to the making of the powerpoint presentation as well as our traction video that needs to be presented. Each member had their share of the task. We made sure that we tried to help one another. We had a lot of brainstorming and we also tried to consider things realistically while also trying to achieve the maximum profit we can earn in our proposal.
Our journey in making this start-up was rather a smooth sailing trip. Although we may have encountered several problems along the way, with the help of our instructor and other teachers we consulted, we managed to get through our trials. Everything we had to do didn't feel like a burden to me. I loved the fact that I only had to think about our business venture instead of having to stress about my groupmates. Surprisingly, I welcomed every single task I made wholeheartedly and made each one of it without any hint of complaint. Maybe because of my loving groupmates, I guess? Anyway, it was the best group I had so far.
I had fun this midyear. I learned a lot of things from my instructors, friends, classmates, and group mates. I also learned a lot of things from our experiences along the way. I love every single part of it and I enjoyed every moment in this subject.
And I think this may be one of the most memorable subjects I have taken so far.

After our venture proposal presentation and a few days of brainstorming, our group decided to reduce the scope of our venture. It was one of the most practical decisions because we need a consistent revenue stream. Before the business model canvas presentation, we were nervous because we kept thinking about the possible questions during the presentation. To lessen the overwhelming feeling, we inquired some of our teachers, and the group was able to come up with solutions to the possible loopholes of our venture.
During the presentation, everything was smooth. Although there were unexpected questions, the group managed to answer them. After our presentation, the panel commented that we were off to a good start despite our business venture being proposed many times. I was not only happy with the outcome, but I'm also very thankful to my group for this subject. Each member has their fair share of contributions. We discuss possible loopholes, and we all brainstorm to come up with solutions. I think this is one of the groups I've had so far.
On the other hand, I'm slowly learning and understanding what entrepreneurship is like. And this may be one of the most memorable mid-year subjects I will ever take.

blog 2. the entrepreneurial mind week two ♡
A lot of things happened during the past few days.
"Create a venture proposal" One of the most challenging things I had to do in my life as someone who's not business-minded. Thinking of one was difficult at first since there were a lot of pros and cons to consider, but we then noticed one common problem in a Facebook group called CMU Confessions. We then decided to propose a business venture where we'll create a website that will help students and business owners inside and outside the campus. It will allow us to help students search for a place to stay, eateries, tutors, and second-hand items, and help business owners. At first, we were confident with our proposal because we were trying to accommodate everyone while also attempting to generate a consistent flow of revenue without considering if we can handle everything all at once. After our presentation, that's when we realized our mistake.
We revised our proposal. Instead of providing services to four groups, we reduced it into two: boarding houses and eateries. This way, we can still ensure continuous cash flow while providing the best services to our future clients.
We interviewed several people after our class. We were grateful that we decided to do so because they agreed that our venture proposal will be helpful to both students and business owners.
After everything, I realized several things, but one thing that altered my brain chemistry was that creating a business is not a smooth sailing trip. It was a bumpy road. There were a lot of pros and cons to consider. Thinking of a solution was draining. This subject is challenging me for real. But at the end of the day, I still like how it tries to get me out of my comfort zone. – arielle gurrea, accy 2 ♡

blog 1. the entrepreneurial mind week one ♡
Introduction
We started off the first week of our midyear classes learning about entrepreneurship. Our teacher discussed and defined it as the process of creating an opportunity and pursuing it regardless of the resources available and resources controlled. She also discussed the types of startups in the market today and the different misconceptions we encounter as students with no background in entrepreneurship.
Honestly, I don't exert much on minor subjects because I feel I like I have to prioritize my Accounting subjects or else I'll fail. Surprisingly, this subject piqued my interest even though I initially had no plans in engaging things related to business and entrepreneurship because I know it takes a lot of brainstorming to do so. As I listened to my teacher, I proved myself right when I realized that entrepreneurship is undoubtedly challenging. People learn only when they actually try to do it. This field is not a linear path. It takes a lot of trial and errors. You don't become successful in just one go. And it's a lot more complex that I thought.
Still, I'm starting to like this subject and I certainly like the way it challenges me.
