Hiii, I love your fics and writing so much. I saw that you aren't planning on finishing your fics which is totally okay and understandable!! I was wondering if it'd be okay to ask what your general ideas/plans for the endings of Red Sky Mourning and Cause I would Anyways (we'd end up like always) were? Totally okay if you don't want to share for any reason, either way your fics hold a special place in my heart and I'll reread them no matter what. :)) You're such an amazing author tho and you deserve the best.

anyway hi !! I downloaded “I am weary with contending!” in preparation for this long plane ride I’m on, and 10 hours in I’ve binged the entire thing. your writing style is SO utterly captivating I simply could not put my phone down. your prose and descriptions were so lovely to read. I adored every moment of this fic, from reading the highs and lows of this throuple’s relationship woes, to the flashbacks and all the dramatic scenes in them as well. you portray the feelings of paranoia and loneliness soooo well, my heart felt wrenched during the entirety of scar’s arc (and grumbo’s as well with the original ariana). I’m so incredibly glad they got their happy ending after all, I hope they have only peace and happiness in the future of this au. this fic was SUCH a ride, your mind is so beautiful I cannot thank you for this fic enough :) <3

hi (this is anon from before) still thinking abt iawwc… was wondering abt some things—forgive me if these are things that have been answered before, or if i just missed it while reading :’)

was there a paritcular reason cub was so late to reading scar’s letters abt the first assassination attempt, or was he really just busy?

also, around the end, was there a particular meaning behind the razor that cub gave scar? like a connection to when he used it to break the glyph the first time?

Hiii, no I don't think anyone has asked these questions before, I'd love to answer!!

1. its been a while but if i remember correctly... elves have a very weird relationship with time. Because they live so long (~500 years?) Time moves very quickly. So something like a month feels like a week for them. Cub was extremely busy and putting off reading it, but also, a lot more time passed than he thought.

Scar doesn't have this trait because he's a half-elf, and it's a hit or miss gene ig, so that was sort of the idea. For Cub, it wasn't that long since he sent it, and when he did read it, he was over there as fast as possible. When he got there, Scar was already over it.

2. There's a connection to breaking the glyph but Also, this was the first time Scar was going to be let out of this place since he was 10. iirc Cub didn't want to intrude, he wanted scar to figure himself out and see what he wanted to do, so the razor was just a means to defend himself, first of all, but I also saw it as a present for Scar finally growing up. You know when your older brother/dad teaches you how to shave for the first time bc you're all grown up. Something something that. It's been a year so I can't remember entirely, but this was my rough thought process!

i don't normally read long fics (like, ever--i don't think ive ever finished anything longer than 100k words before) but Wow did this hook me in immediately from chapter 1, and i blew through it in 3 days lol. fantastic work, i really loved every bit--the perfect mix of romance, plot, and drama!! shout-out to ur depiction scar and cub as brothers cause im such a sucker for sibling relationships and i rlly loved their dynamic!!!

I finised "weary with contending" yesterday and dude it was so good. It was also so dense, your world building and descriptions were so rich and vivid, I love them so much. Absolutely fantastic job!

Are you planning on updating any of your other fics? I'm intrigued with them but I have about a hundred tabs of mostly abandoned unfinished works saved and I don't know if I can handle more unresolved emotional investment.

@ari--anon I first read "I am Weary With Contending!", "And Where They Sow, They Also Reap", and "Red Sky Morning" while I was deep in some social anxiety stuff. So despite how much I loved them I couldn't bring myself to leave a comment. All three of this fics are actually amazing! They are so well written and complex! I go insane over these fics!! And I really want to show appreciation now that I feel more comfortable talking!

I find it funny how Grian (famously a "team killing traitor") is actually historically very loyal, meanwhile Martyn (famously "devoted to the death") is actually historically an absolute traitor. I could write an essay about the ironic parallels between these two, both in how they are in canon and how fanon perceives them.
