Patiently waiting (I'm going insane) for my partner (uksies) to return from wherever the shit they went (seriously I'm growing impatient) it's been awhile since I've heard from them (they're teasing me with Instagram posts) but I'm sure It'll be fine (PLEASE-)

Musical Theatre Song Contest: Round One B
youtube
youtube
Submitter’s propaganda under the cut
Being Alive
its moving its heartbreaking its real its human. its the longing for another human to just be there for you and have the littlest things with them. its seeing the main character who's faced his commitment issues throughout the musical admit he needs to not be alone, whether romantically or not. raul esparza's performance gets me close to tears
"Don't be afraid that it won't be perfect... the only thing to be afraid of really is that it won't be!"
A profound ballad about the vulnerability of letting another person fully and wholly into your life
it's sondheim. i mean. come on. but also - it's because you're always taken on a journey by the singer's realizations dawning on them while singing the song and man. isn't that just beautiful.
Once And For All
it slays
No brain only home of sexual
It just slaps, the lyrics are awesome, and oh my gosh just listen to that KEY CHANGE
the key change 😫🤚🏻

So do we know why Specs just sort of knows everything?
Like he’s just mentioned randomly eg:
“Specs brought me a note from Crutchie in the Refuge.”
“How’d you get up here?” “Specs showed me.”
My boy is just popping up randomly to help the plot along.
One might even go so far as to call him a
Deus-Specs-Machina

First version of Watch What Happens by Bronté Barbé from Newsies in London - played on BBC Radio 2 for Elaine Paige on Sunday.
I love Kara Lindsay but it's nice to hear a different version at last! I'm also impressed that Bronté has managed to make a noticeably different interpretation, because it's SUCH a wordy song that it can be hard to do anything more than just get all of the lyrics out!
Also bearing in mind this is going to change from now into previews, and as the run goes on.
Sorry about the weird fade at the end, they did that thing where they played a radio transition right after which I had to cut out. Also BBC pls don't arrest me, I just want people who don't have access to BBC Sounds to hear this! (I am so scared lol)
