Benji and Ethan love each other so much.

So... ever since I saw Top Gun: Maverick, it has reignited my love of Tom Cruise and in turn jump started my fandom drive exactly where it left off-- which, for those keeping track, was 4 years ago in the Mission Impossible Fandom.

I'm planning on a story (It's only two chapters but nearing 10K) and maybe some art for the upcoming @benthan-week-2022 Benthan week in August, but pretty much every single thing that's coming out for the prompts is extremely angsty, with massive amounts of hurt and blood and emotional turmoil. So, yeah, exactly on par with with all the stuff I tend to write.

But I wanted to put something out there that wasn't fraught with violence and pain so that's the long-winded explanation of this drawing.

Because I've been really enjoying this fandom a lot and I wanted to contribute. I think I've read 70% of the Benji Dunn/Ethan Hunt tag on AO3. (If you've contributed on there, you've definitely got a kudos and maybe a comment from me.) I'd love to connect with other fans and am hopeful that others will participate this year!

This was drawn with reference and color palette inspired by Sara Kipin. (I'm totally obsessed with Tom Cruise's longish hair right now, so Ethan has that instead of the cropped look he's been rocking in the MI:7 stills.)
