So… What is a good way to start the new year? Moving!

When I started this blog, I didn’t bother adding verses and all that handy dandy stuff. You know… To keep my blog organized for my followers and myself? Welp, I have no idea what I was thinking back then. I must have been really hyped to make a new blog again. 

Or I was too lazy back then.

Anyway, I decided to move the blog. To keep the blog more organized and use this blog as an archive. Hence the URL change: twilightrosewitch-archive

Aki looked back at the embarrassed magician in confusion. She was being kind? How did that add up? Yet again, Aki wasn’t attacking him... Since she wasn’t, does that mean Aki was being kind?

The duelist herself was utterly silent as she stared up him, puzzled. “...Buttons? Buttons as currency?” She echoed back in surprise as she shook her head quickly. “In Japan, we use yen instead of buttons!”

Pause.

“Yen is the Japanese currency. Yen is often seen as either coins or banknotes almost like America but different... I guess in different cultures, the currency is very different. I haven’t seen anyone use buttons before...” Aki mumbled slowly.

Explaining this to him was a struggle. She was expecting him to at least know common knowledge. Yet again, he was a duel spirit. It must be completely different for them. Were other duel spirits able to keep up with the times?

Down, down, down...

THUD!

Aki landed on the ground after someone collided into her roughly. The trainer found herself on the ground, recovering from the impact. Dizzy and sore, the voice of a familiar female snapped her back into reality. In Aki’s arms, a female Ralts was staring up at her trainer with hidden red eyes lit in concern.

Nearby, a male Zorua was approaching with a small pouch of berries in his mouth. The small psychic pokemon named Dreamwalker was looking over. Noticing the dark type and the stolen pouch of fresh berries. The fox like pokemon named Nightshade also noticed Dreamwalker. Blue eyes flickered teasingly as red eyes narrowed in disappointment.

Regardless, Nightshade was walking over and noticing the commotion. The two pokemon appeared to know each other and both of them were quite small. Aki was too startled to notice her second pokemon approaching. Or how he stole something from a poor trainer or clerk again this week. The redhead looked up at Akumi with wide eyes since she didn’t expect to see Akumi.

“Wait... Akumi?” The trainer briefly glanced down, noticing the roller skates the other female wore. It was nice to run into Akumi, but― Bumping into an Akumi with roller skates didn’t sound so pleasant.

Especially since Aki has a high chance of falling over. She already got bumped into someone on skates before Akumi decided to tag along. That person was way too fast and didn’t even stop. On the other hand, Akumi looked like she was still adjusting to the skates. Or maybe she just lost control.

“I want them...” Nightshade murmured after placing the pouch down, eyeing the footwear Akumi wore. Dreamwalker made a small sigh, relaxed in her trainer’s arms. “They aren’t yours, Nightshade.” The psychic type mumbled which resulted in a scoff from the dark type.

“Then I’ll make them mine, shorty.”

“You’re short too, Nightshade.”

“At least I’m fluffy unlike you.”

“Hmph... Where were you again? You’ve been gone for hours. Lady Aki was out looking for you again.”

“Awe. Are you jealous of my fur? Anyway, I’ve been hunting for more food. You should be more grateful to me for bringing more food.”

“I’m not jealous of your fur. For your information, I refuse to eat stolen food.”

“Oh my― Aren’t you grumpy?”

“No, I’m not grumpy. I’m concerned for our trainer unlike you.”

“Ouch, someone is rude today― I brought berries for all of us and this is what I get? A grumpy psychic?”

Dreamwalker ignored the fox as she nuzzled close to her trainer. She stopped talking to Nightshade because she didn’t want to give Aki another headache. After all, she can hear them perfectly. Nightshade was rapidly glancing at their trainer, only checking for fatal wounds. Upon not seeing any, he was moving towards Akumi after picking of the pouch.

He still wanted those roller skates. They looked so fun to play with! Still on the ground, Aki was recovering as she took Akumi’s hand. She held Dreamwalker in her other arm easily. Luckily, Aki was still taking in Akumi’s sudden appearance.

“Hm... You’re such a strange one to say that. Normally when I’m gone, people think it is a time of peace for them.” Aki commented almost randomly upon hearing him. Briefly noticing his fading smile before she glanced away.

“What brings you to Neo Domino City? I wasn’t expecting to find someone like you in a cafe— On second thought, I think I can picture you here... I think.” Aki added as she took a sip from her red hibiscus tea.
