good luck, babe! ~ jeon heejin
a/n: it's been a while, hasn't it? To be honest, it's totally my fault as I tend to delete the drafts I don't like rather than throwing them on here. I also tend to hold onto drafts that I don't plan on completing if I want to eventually pick up the project again. (glances over at my red velvet criminal minds au) anyways, this is the first draft from my most recent post on my blog, the one with the jeon heejin. I don't have any reason why I threw this draft out other than I didn't like it lol.
tw: reader is kind of a walking cliche, it's a jeon heejin fic without jeon heejin appearing in this snippet (typical Katie behavior iykyk), not grammar checked
“You shouldn’t be here. It’s not your kind of space.”
“How do you know what my space is?”
“I just know that you and I shouldn’t be in the same room, that’s all.”
~
You rip the flier off of the wall with ease before gasps ring out behind you. They’re not surprised by your actions, more so shocked by the time it took for you to react.
Jeon Heejin, Ms. Class President and Royal Pain-in-Your-Ass, was hosting a party. Little Miss Perfect held these extravagant parties after major exams and school events, and you hated it.
The people behind you thought it was because you hated her guts.
You just wanted people to know the real Jeon Heejin.
~
“What would people think if they saw you like this?”
“It’s a good thing no one will know about this, right?”
“Your secret’s safe with me… for now.”
~
You crumple up the flier and toss it into the trash can before entering class.
“Headphones.”
Like a repeating alarm clock, your professor appears at your side as you attempt to walk to your seat.
“I pay you so I can be in this class. Why do you care if I’m paying attention or not?” You shrug before placing your bag down on the empty chair next to you.
The professor follows you as you sit down and pull out your laptop.
“I’ve seen your writing. You have amazing potential, and it’s being wasted by your inability to take action-”
You cut her off with a roll of your eyes as you pull your headphone off of your ears.
“Happy?”
“I am. It’s good to see that you’re finally willing to apply yourself to this subject. That Heejin girl seems to be rubbing off on you-”
“We’re not friends.” You roughly respond as you glare at the professor in front of you.
“I’ve heard differently, especially during my office hours.” Your professor’s gaze lands on the table behind you, and you don’t have to turn around before the culprits reveal themselves.
“Someone has a crush~” Jinsoul’s voice rings out from behind you, and two other girls start laughing along with her.
“Excuse me, Professor,” You give your professor the fakest smile ever before turning your chair around to face Jinsoul, “Do you enjoy meddling in my life?”
“On occasion, especially when it pisses you off.” You want to rip the cheerful smile off of her face, but you wait until the professor’s out of earshot.
“Shut the fuck up.” You grab a pencil from your bookbag before setting it next to your laptop.
“The bad girl attitude does not suit you.” Jinsoul bluntly says before the girl on her left, Jungeun, elbows her side.
“Hey, that’s my thing!” Jungeun teases you before looking at your laptop. “Hiding something from us? Perhaps a secret girlfriend?”
“It’s my Calc homework, if you’re interested in helping-”
“Hell no.” Jungeun scoffs before playing with the spine of her notebook. “I did my time with my math classes.”
“Me too, so don’t ask me.” Jinsoul looks to her left. “Choerry?”
“I’ll help you if you tell me when you’re seeing Heejin this weekend.” Cheorry absentmindedly says as she messes with the flash drive on her computer.
What the fuck.
You sigh.
“I hate you all.”
~
“Why do you put on this bad girl persona? Is it an act, or is it truly who you are?”
“I’m kind of hurt that you can’t see through my façade.”
“I guess we both don’t know each other as well as we thought, huh?”

Between You and I
A/N: Another scene from the series that I haven't written. I was testing character dynamics between two characters, and I used this relationship between two characters in different fics of mine. I've decided to permanently take a step back from this project as I've found another series to dedicate my time to.
TW: An argument between @kingmaker-a's top two biases :)
“This is ridiculous!” Yoohyeon exclaims as she paces the palace floor. “How could I have lost?”
“Yoohyeon, I-”
“Don’t!”
Kim Lip recoils and shakes her head as Yoohyeon continues to fume and pace.
“You can act like a child and pout, or you can fix your mistakes and move on to the next challenge.” Kim Lip suggests.
“What do you want me to do? Threaten SuA’s life?”
“I mean, that’s certain an idea, but maybe trying to cut your differences and you could talk to her-”
“You know damn well what the elders would say.”
“Why do you give a shit about what they would say, huh?” Kim Lip raises an eyebrow as Yoohyeon looks over at her with a defeated look.
“I- I can’t be like you, no matter what. I have to make my own destiny, my own way, but for now, I follow the elders and their outdated ways.”
Yoohyeon walks out of the room before Kim Lip can change her mind.

A Late Night Chat - JiU/Gahyeon
A/N: We're almost to the end of the drafts, I swear! This is a similar draft to what I posted last, except it's fluffier than the previous one.
TW: Characters suffer from insomnia, some sad vibes
"Lady Minji?”
“Hmm?” JiU softly hums before turning to Gahyeon. “Did someone call for me?”
“The bell has tolled three,” Gahyeon says as she points at the moon in the sky, “and yet you have not retired to your quarters for the night.”
“So?”
“Well,” Gahyeon fiddles with her uniform for a moment, “the royal heir cares for you, and when their friends aren’t feeling well, they aren’t well either.”
“So you’re doing this on behalf of the heir?”
“Don’t get me wrong, I also worry for your health, Lady Minji-”
“Please just call me JiU. It rolls off the tongue much smoother.” JiU cracks a warm smile as the moonlight bounces off her black hair. “It’s sweet of you to care for me… you remind me of a much younger, much more hopeful version of yourself.”
“You’re not hopeful for the future?”
“But of course I am. I… just find myself questioning my position in life, especially when it comes to my lifestyle.”
“Are you unhappy?”
JiU sadly looks down before crouching next to a rose bush.
“Would you tell on me if I said yes?”
Gahyeon places her hand on her chest.
“In the name of the royal family, I promise to keep this between us.”
JiU widens her eyes for a moment before shaking her head.
“You take your duties seriously, huh? Good for you.”
“You deflected my question.” Gahyeon flatly points out as JiU dryly chuckles.
“And you’re smart too. I see why Dami and Handong have taken a liking to you.”
A light blush dusts Gahyeon’s cheeks.
“They do?”
“They do.” JiU nods before standing up and walking over to Gahyeon. “Don’t let SuA, Siyeon, and especially Yoohyeon make you feel less than. You are worthy as you come, Lee Gahyeon.”
JiU places a gentle hand on Gahyeon’s shoulder as Gahyeon looks up at her and smiles.
“Are you going to sleep now?”
A small yawn escapes JiU’s mouth as she nods again.
“I think I will. Take care, Lee Gahyeon.”
JiU lets go of Gahyeon’s shoulder, and Gahyeon freezes for a moment before calling out for JiU.
“JiU?”
“Yes?”
“Will you be alright?”
JiU bites her lip before sighing.
“I’ll manage, like always.”

The Rivals - SuA/Yoohyeon
A/N: This small drabble is a part of a scene that will not be featured in the full version of this fic. I wanted to post it because it's quite impressive for not featuring any x reader content.
TW: Alcohol, fighting, cursing, injuries from fights
“Oh God, here we go.” Handong mumbles before taking a drink out of her wine glass.
“Yoohyeon-ssi!” SuA drunkenly calls out as she wobbles over to Yoohyeon’s side of the table.
Gahyeon’s eyes widen as she looks over to Handong.
“What’s going to happen?”
“You don’t wanna know.”
JiU and Dami stay quietly resigned as Siyeon leans towards Gahyeon.
“They’re going to fight.”
Siyeon’s eyes burn brightly with excitement as Gahyeon stares in horror.
“SuA’s going to hurt herself!” She tries to stand up before Handong pulls her back down.
“It’s better if you don’t involve yourself with their antics.”
“But they-”
“SuA can take care of herself. I’d be more worried about Yoohyeon.”
SuA leans in towards Yoohyeon’s face, and Yoohyeon quietly stares into the distance.
“How does it feel to lose?”
Yoohyeon tilts her head to the side before glancing at SuA.
“How does it feel to be a low-life who can only rise up in society through a promotion you weren’t either worthy of?”
SuA scoffs before setting her drink down. She rolls up her sleeves before cracking her neck.
“You know what’s fun about being a low-life? We know how to fight dirty.”
SuA spits at the ground in front of Yoohyeon before punching her square in the jaw. Yoohyeon holds her jaw in pain before glaring at SuA.
“If it’s a fight you want, it’s a fight you’ll get.”
Yoohyeon throws her foot out and trips SuA before quickly standing on her feet. SuA hits the ground hard as she winces in pain.
“Giving up already?” Yoohyeon chides before stepping back away from SuA. “I thought low-lives knew how to fight.”
“Don’t fucking go there with me!” SuA charges at Yoohyeon before tackling her to the ground.
SuA lands a few punches across her face and chest before standing up and looming over Yoohyeon.
Yoohyeon coughs up blood before rolling on her side.
“Do you yield?” SuA asks before leaning down to touch noses with Yoohyeon.
She grabs the fabric of Yoohyeon’s blouse and pulls Yoohyeon's body against hers.
“I-”
“Not an answer, Yoohyeon. Do. You. Yield?”
Yoohyeon looks SuA in the eyes before bursting into tears.
“I yield, I yield! Just let me go!”
“As you wish.” SuA smugly says before dropping Yoohyeon.
Yoohyeon cries out in pain as her body collides with the floor.
“Gahyeon, get her to a medic.”
“SuA, what am I supposed to tell the medic?” Gahyeon frantically says before running over to Yoohyeon’s side.
“The truth, and you should hope that they’ll still treat her after her remarks.” SuA wipes the blood off of her knuckles with a spare napkin on the table, and she tosses it carelessly on the floor as she walks past the four remaining onlookers.
Handong and Dami both refuse to make eye contact with her, but Siyeon whoops and hollers once her eyes meet SuA’s.
“Shit, I didn’t think you’d actually do it. It was about time a Sagitta got their ass handed to them.” Siyeon congratulates her friend, but Handong quickly shushes her.
“Not the time, Siyeon.”
JiU sadly stares at the ground before grabbing SuA’s sleeve as she passes by.
“SuA, I-”
“I don’t want to hear it from you, Saint. At least you know where you belong.” SuA hisses before disappearing into the night.

From the Drafts ~ (02)
This was the idea I had for Halloween, but I never got any farther than writing out a small description of it. I did end up writing a small drabble based on an ask, but I just don't want to commit to that long of a story.
Somebody's Watching Me 👀 (SuA x Reader x Dami)
- Based on the Scream franchise
As the owner of one and only bakery in the sleepy town of Woodsville, you're pretty popular with the locals. Most of the locals, however, know that they don't stand on the same ledge as your two favorite customers: the eccentric, nosy, and boisterous reporter at the news station in town, SuA, and the quiet, witty, and ready-for-action detective, Dami.
Everything's fine and dandy in your small town of Woodsville... until the murder of your childhood friend is announced on the morning news. With a new malevolent force in town ready to cause havoc and leave bloodshed in their wake, you're forced into a fight to protect your loved ones and everything you've worked so hard for.
You team up with SuA and Dami to find out who is behind the murders, to see if there are any patterns.... but they can't see eye-to-eye. SuA wants the latest news headlines to have her name stamped on it while Dami wants to prove her worth to a doubtful superior. They both find common ground in protecting you from harm, but what happens when you realize that their constant visits and sweet words aren't things that friends say to one another?
Well, it gets very messy and very bloody.... very quickly.

- Yuna talks with reader about life, and the reader in her world
- Gahyeon realizes that this is not an easy project that can be fixed in a day
- cue the time-lapse

It's Over, Isn't It? - Chaeryeong Draft
A/N: This was a draft that was supposed to be a part of a longer fic, but I put it aside and never got back to writing it.
TW: Angst, Probably OOC Chaeryeong, alcohol usage, implied alcoholism, cheating
Come home.
Two words. 8 letters. One space. One period.
You try to recall your latest fuck-up as you stare at the bright screen in a dark room, but you can't see to recall anything that would've happened.
The taste of last night's whiskey on your tongue, however, suggests differently, and when you see someone other than your fiancée in bed next to you...
It happened again, didn't it?
You pause to set your phone aside before rubbing your aching head with your hands.
I only had one or two drinks, right?
Your phone gives a familiar ding, and you softly sigh before checking it.
Now.
Yeah, you were most definitely fucked.
~
"I trusted you-"
Chaeryeong spits accusations as soon as you step through the door, and you're mindful enough to close it before you say anything back.
"I don't know what happened-"
"I know you're lying to me," She dryly laughs before watching you stumble towards the couch, "and I thought you were doing so well when you were going to all of your meetings."
"I fell off the wagon, okay?" You weakly mumble before nearly faceplanting into the couch. "Get off of my case."
"What am I, your mother?" Chaeryeong throws her hands into the air before carelessly tossing a pillow in your direction. "I told you that I would marry you if you promised to go to rehab, and you're still falling into bad habits."
You groan into the sofa before grabbing the pillow and laying your head on it.
"What do you want me from me?"
"I loved you!" She angrily says as you look up to see her messing with something on her left hand. "I want some respect from you, for once."
"If you're so unhappy," You roll your eyes, "Why don't you leave?"
You grumble in pain when you feel a small object smack you on the forehead.
"That's the plan." Chaeryeong stares at you with a mix of distrust, hurt, and disgust in her eyes before she storms out of your apartment.
"What about your shit?"
"You can keep it, for all I care!" She yells before slamming the door behind her.
You feel a tug towards the peacefulness of sleep, but you decide to retrieve the object from the floor that hit you in the face.
You trace the circular outline of the object, and you feel yourself deflate as you set the engagement ring on the bookshelf next to you. Before you go to sleep, one final thought lingers in your mind:
It's over, isn't it?
