Really can't go wrong in fantasy with a giant skeleton being part of the environment. I'm talking colossal, part of the scenery bones.
Oh yes, let me wonder what the hell it is, how it died, how long it has been there. Let me walk on its ribs pathways, climb inside an eyesocket, look at where it fused with the nature around it.

I feel sick.
I am
Actually, I can't even say I'm physically healthy, for what is a mental illness if not a product of the mind? Is the mind not powered, at least in part, by the brain?
Is the brain not a physical thing, tangible and fragile, yet more resilient than we may ever know?
I am both mentally and physically unwell. It is my physical brain that holds my mental illness, that controls the sensations of my body.
I am not sick, no pathogens ail me. I feel like vomiting from stress alone. How curious, that the human brain can create the body's own disease. I cannot breathe right, my gut churns in a most unpleasant way, all a disease of my brain's own making.
I feel sick. I might vomit.
Physical symptoms of a mental illness.

idk who needs to hear this but when your english teacher asks you to explain why an author chose to use a specific metaphor or literary device, it’s not because you won’t be able to function in real-world society without the essential knowledge of gatsby’s green light or whatever, it’s because that process develops your abilities to parse a text for meaning and fill in gaps in information by yourself, and if you’re wondering what happens when you DON’T develop an adult level of reading comprehension, look no further than the dizzying array of examples right here on tumblr dot com

Things that have happened to me in 24 hours in London:
Met a poodle named Erasmus
Got mistaken for a child by staff at the British Museum and was asked where my parents were, despite the fact that I turn 32 in a fortnight
Paid £5 for a single cup of watery tea, not even loose leaf
Had someone offer me a slice of pizza they'd taken directly out of the bin (I declined; sadly, I'd already eaten)
Stayed overnight with a 75 year old woman who told me a great story about how she had her wallet, airline tickets and passport stolen in India in the '70s, and when she went to the British Embassy to try and sort out her travel home, this guy there was super racist and told her that he'd 'eat coal for a year if the Indian police don't just keep your money for themselves', so when her wallet was indeed found and returned to her by the police, she went and bought 1kg of coal and left it on that guy's desk at the Embassy with a note that said 'as you expressed a wish to add this into your diet, I've taken the liberty of treating you to an entrée'. Her name is Tina. She's a legend

the humble "like" is oft mocked despite what it does for us. "like, three people" is a vastly different statement from "three people". "and i was like 'what the fuck'" is vastly different from "and i said 'what the fuck'". i love you "like" and anyone who says you make people sound stupid will be killed on sight

Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.
