The Romantic 𓆩♡𓆪

Since the beginning of their friendship, Villain always makes sure that Hero is always comfortable with them, to have a shoulder to cry on, to be there when no one else is there for them. Villain didn't even know why they do that, they're supposed to compete with them. Why do they care so much about their well being? If they're home safe or if they're happy, smiling?

"Why do you care so much about me?" The Hero asked that the other day, both of their hands on their gray-ish coat while looking meaningfully at the Villain. Their shoulder was touching the Villain, their steps were at sync.

Villain didn't even respond for a moment, just started to stare at the path below them. "Because I have feelings for you." Villain thought, "Because I want to see you content. I want to hear you laugh. I want to see those mesmerizing eyes that I cannot pull away from soften just by looking at me. I want you to say random stuff to me even if it's short just say what's on your mind and I'll be listening. I want to hear you, see you. I want you."

They could've atleast said that, but all that Villain mustered was "It's the least I can do."

And aye, the sky is indeed perfect fer sailing! Me fellow pirate sent this bunch of.. red fruits..? Strawberries? Strawberries! Me hungry self can't wait to eat!

Imagine if like.. Villain is just chilling and minding their own business with their hot cocoa at hand, their bedsheet covered their body as the warmth of the fireplace gave them peace.

A knock on the window broke their peace, they turned around the sound and saw a black hooded figure staring at them through the window. Villain whipped out their weapon to the couch and approached the figure slowly, but when they came near the figure, they saw Hero shivering from head to toe by the cold winter weather, the only thing keeping them warm is their hoodie.

"H-hi.. V-Villain.. C-c-can I com-come in?" The poor, quivering Hero stumbled in between words, teeth chattering, slowly rubbing their shaking body on their arms.

Villain lowered their weapon, furrowing their brow after seeing their cru- friend in such a state. "Oh, dear. Come, come," They invited Hero in.

Villain made them hot cocoa and cuddling with them until they both fell asleep in each others arms.

When Villain is at work and when one of their Henchmen or Other Villain messes up one single task, Villain would be, "You incompetent fool, can't even do such one simple task. If you do this again, I will demote you into one of my lab rats."

And when Hero is the one who messes up the task Villain would shift 360 into a whole new personality like, "Shh, babe.. It's okay, it's okay. Don't cry, it's just a simple mistake.."

And here Hero was, sipping coffee at Villain's living room looking like a person that came out of a late night talk show, sitting on a white sofa with their legs crossed.

With Villain being the host of course - looking at the hero with their thumb below the chin and their forefinger on their mouth, thinking how beautiful Hero looks.

"I'm sorry, is there something wrong with my face?" Hero asked, eyebrows raised at the Villain.

"Oh no, no, no, no," Villain chuckled amusingly, leaning back on the soft cushions of the seat. "You look radiant as ever, I can't help but adore your looks." They added, smiling softly at what they had just said.

"Are you... Mocking me?" Hero was slightly hesitant to say the words, the way Villain looked at them sent a warning signal at their brain, like all of their braincells just pushed a certain button.

Villain stared dumbfounded at their nemesis before bursting out laughing, "Oh god, do you really think I was mocking you? I would never do such a thing!"

"Really? Then why do you keep looking at me like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like that, do you need to check up on a doctor? Your eyes are not looking so good." They asked, worry evident on their tone, placing their cup of coffee on the table.

"Oh my," Villain gasped under their breath, taken a back by Hero's straightfoward comment, especially on their appearance. "You really don't have a clue, don't you?"

"No, I don't." Hero shrugged their shoulders, averting their eyes side to side.

"I've grown fond of you these past few months, Hero. You are enjoyable to spend time with, I like you." Villain confessed, smiling softly once they lifted the feeling in their chest, butterflies swarming on their stomach as they waited for their nemesis to respond.

"You like me..?" Hero's eyes lit up, as if fireworks erupting on their eyes.

Villain's insides melted, their mistakes were forgiven, the burden that they had buried within them came lifted up. A heart attack would honestly be fine for Villain right now.

"Y-"

"Then why didn't you say so? I would love to sign you an autograph!" And that was when time paused, Villain's disappoinment came crashing down like a meteorite falling in a hundred kilometers per hour, as all went silent.

"Soon, I will reign all over this city and destroy all of you worthless, useless people into ashes!" Villain let out an ominous laugh, clasping their hands together as grinning wickedly at the thousands of thousands of people below them.

"And then.. I'll crush you all with my mighty fists-" A sound of a camera behind them interrupted their speech, turning around to see their mortal enemy smiling.

"Hey! Just thought you look so cool, hope you don't mind having me sharing this on social media." Hero announced enthusiastically, holding their camera in between their hands.
