Life's one crushing defeat after another. In other news, the Australian gumbyment hasn't advanced on the social media censorship. It's not stopping, though.

Yet.

Good old Google is threatening to sue because YouTube isn't a platform. Maybe it'll trigger a wave of revolts from other sites. You fucking better not be in our country's cross-hairs, Tumblr/Discord/BlueSky.

The Australian censorship ID has been a ditched thing three times already, maybe we'll get lucky and it'll happen again. (80s, 90s, 00)

The UK & EU copycat ban isn't working protecting adults, to nobody's surprise in Australia. We warned you. It's A.I slop determining if you're 18+.

We'll have to see how VPN handles it.

Originally I thought Twatter will be my only loss, but...

They've been discussing the ban/surveillance since last year. The Google / Microsoft ban was a backdoor policy leaked only yesterday.

BlueSky's complying with the UK's copycat law & enforcing face scanning like our government's trialling as the ID age verification.

Like many, I don't consent.

Gov never acknowledged Tumblr as a target. However, Discord was bounced around as another potential target.

I am relying on V P N recovering our human rights, otherwise... fuck.

Not sure if Telegram will be exempt. If it's even useful in this climate.

I can't function without them, though. The UN & advocates should revoke this law. It's draconian and taking away our privacy and rights to freedom and anonymity.
