Having the Homestuck brain worms again, so I'm gonna classpect some AO characters.

Morden - Witch of Doom, one who changes fate, rules, death, and bad luck. I feel this is a pretty obvious classpect for him. Morden, despite fandom stereotype is actually a pretty active character. Helping the player escape The Order and infiltrate Fort Talos, not to mention his racing Ravenna for the Death Curse. Over all he is always fighting against his circumstances and trying to change fate for the better making him a Witch of Doom.

Iris - Heir of Rage, one who is changed and who invites change through fear, anger, scepticism, and motivation. Iris is characterized primarily, in a somewhat reductionist way, by her anger. Specifically her anger at Ravenna and at The Order, this anger is what drives her throughout the story, giving her motivation. She also changes the motivation of the player, through her scepticism by altering them to the strange happenings in Ravenna. Which makes her the archetypical Heir of Rage.

I may make some more in the future but this is all I have time for rn.

But now I imagine it'll be like, she's undercover to like stop him and the players from advancing in their goal.

I mean, I don't know the full reason why he's having a gf, but it sounds kinda suspicious.

I remember seeing Vetex claim at one point Morden would probably get a girlfriend (after saying the story isn't romanxe driven), and I have so many reasons on why that is such a bad idea.

1. His trauma is most likely gonna be forgotten or he suddenly heals™ because he's in love, so we can't have the emo man be traumatized.

2. The girlfriend probably is gonna beckon Morden to stop helping us and stay with her.

3. Knowing how Vetex writes female characters (they're either damsels in distress or personalityless characters), the girlfriend is gonna be a damsep in distress who Morden goes to save (and he has...no reason to).

I wish Vetex would share my info about the characters. I know he answers some questions about the story/lore on his patreon but I’m still starved for more yknow 😭

Like, comparably, Phighting only have hints about lore from the characters dialogue, but we get a lot more info about the characters from the developers themselves, particularly Soda who would answer questions about the story and characters on stream. It ranges from fun facts to lore world building like how Skateboard has a gang and that Crossroads has layers to it with the upper class living to the top layer to the lower class living on the bottom/slums.

And I understand that bc AO is a story based rpg, Vetex wants the story to unfold before us instead of telling us himself but at least give us some fun facts to nibble on😞 birthdays, likes, dislikes— that sort of stuff. People would love to hear stuff about Morden, Iris, Neviro, etc.

I wonder if Revon was an accident…. Like genuinely. In the AO q&a, it is said that Calvus was 11 and Revon was 3 when Calvus took the throne, meaning that there is an 8 year age gap between them. So like, why would Octavious Ceasar, their father, wait 8 years after his first child to have another?

Sure, maybe he wanted to ensure that there would be a heir to the throne. That would make sense considering his position as king and how dangerous and violent world AO is, his political enemies would want to take out his children in order to hurt the future of his kingdom. So having multiple would ensure at least one of them is leading their nation on. But if we thinking along those lines, why didn’t he have more children soon after Calvus was born? Why wait?

That is to say or conclude, perhaps, maybe, Octavious thought his wife (why hasn’t there been any mention of Ravenna queens in story? Are they GAY??) looked particularly good one night and went to pound town, not even thinking about consequences that could happen. 8 months later, out popped his consequence, our beloved Prince Revon.
