student teacher sassaku recs

I had to do some research because I didn’t remember many student x teacher fics, so here’s what I got from my SasuSaku lists:

a lesson in romantics by @uchiharvno - He cursed the way his heart stuttered in his chest whenever he saw her and he hated how impatient he got when she’s not in the room. Surely, he wasn’t so foolish as to fall in love with a woman who was 1) four years his senior, 2) still in love with his brother, and most importantly, 3) his own teacher. - [Rated M, on going, updated yesterday!]

I think I couldn’t start this rec list without mentioning this story first. A lesson in romantics was the first fic portraying the student/teacher trope that I read. I fell in love with the dynamics of Sasuke and Sakura here (the background is the cutest!). This story will surprise you from the start and it will be hard to put it down! Love it so much ❤️

This fic was on my “to-read” list since a while ago and I remember saving it because of the good reviews. I have read two chapters today, and so far, the slow burn seems natural and really good! (and I’ll keep reading it!). 

P.S.: I never had a crush on a teacher – maybe because none of my teachers were Sasuke-sensei 😅 – but while reading Sakura’s thoughts/POV, the story transports me back to a classroom and it’s like I’m a teen again, crushing on a boy that’s sitting a few feet away from me *sigh* 😬

sakura’s opinion, as it pertains to house-making with sasuke, is that of impressed horror. sasuke is the most tidy person sakura has ever lived with, a fact rendered more terrifying by her history of rooming with tenten in the years post-war. no one can make a claim to tidiness (to attentiveness? fanaticism?) like tenten and her many tools, idle in peacetime, kept exactly so, not a millimeter out of place. sakura is instead the type to reject the concept of making a bed on a philosophical level, and thus finds tidiness a meaningless, temporary kind of thing. waste of time, she thinks warily, eyeing sasuke from bed as he carefully shines their bedroom windows. “why-” begins sakura. she sighs. “you cleaned those windows last week. how incredibly low is your tolerance for dust- you freak! are you bored?” “the plants will grow better with fewer dust particles to scatter the sunlight,” says sasuke, squinting for missed spots. at first she has nothing to say. “i thought i chose brains, but i still ended up with an idiot!” sasuke in marriage, in home life, is slow and deliberate, like an old man. he finishes his task decidedly and rearranges the potted plants just so to optimize their light. “i’m leaving for my mission tonight. don’t forget to water the plants everyday. try to do it slowly, so you don’t drown them.” sakura pulls the blankets over her head. “my husband loves our house plants more than me!” - three shifts at the hospital later, sakura comes home to wilting house plants and molding beef stew left out on the kitchen counter. she hadn’t seen it in her hurry out of the house, three days ago. ‘eat this before work. hospital soup crackers are not a real food,’ a note reads. ah, sakura thinks, my husband. - “my plants are dead.” sakura winces, “aren’t they our plants? and they don’t look too bad!” they stand over their dead bedroom plants. sometimes sakura wonders if they are not too opposed in their habits to co-exist properly. she is sure that other couples are not so mismatched as them- ino and sai agree on their furniture and shika and temari both prefer late mornings in bed together. chouji would never let a home-cooked meal mold on the countertop, but that is probably also true outside of his relationship. and certainly, hinata is wholly incapable of killing naruto’s plants! “naruto would never keep plants,” responds sasuke. “but! even so! sasuke-kun, are you happy?” says sakura, and cringes immediately. how familiar, her long-haired, school-girl self! how insecure she still feels of his regard for her, even in marriage. her husband, after a moment, turns back to their snake plant and sword fern and chinese evergreens and- “it’s better this way. good for growing,” he says finally, and doesn’t mean the plants. - when sasuke leaves for his next mission, sakura wakes early enough before work for household chores. sasuke’s tidiness, she understands now, is his way of cherishing their home. this time, sakura is determined not to kill his plants. but there is no longer a small jungle on their windowsill, and instead she finds just one plump succulent. a hardy, desert plant she can’t kill. and another note, ‘don’t need to water this one while i’m gone.’ sakura smiles at the promise.

Omg... that's really sad. For a writer those written contents are like life. I know how badly it hurts when you lose your ideas. One time my phone fucked up and didn't save a chapter I had spent the whole day writing. It's a good thing that you were able your retrieve some of your stuff.

Digitalized files aren't safe either. Some of my files were corrupted by a virus but I had some in another back up so I was able to get them.

I cannot even say anything. I know it fucking hurts so badly and it takes time to get over it.

Today I discovered my grandfather went into my room while I was away and threw ten years worth of my medical forms, story ideas, novel drafts, device warranty information and personal documents in the trash. And I’m not allowed to be mad at him because he has Alzheimer’s. And all my parents had to say when I found (some of) what he had thrown away before it went to the curb...is that aside from the medical stuff, at least there was “nothing important” in there.

I feel so sick right now I can’t even.

A) a person is supposed to be able to have a place where they can store their things without worrying someone in their family is going to destroy them and B) those folders are my fucking life. I’ve been trying to digitize my files for backup but it’s a long job and not something I can do overnight and i thought they would at least be safe FILED AWAY IN FOLDERS but apparently not.

But none of it’s really important, right?
