Day 8 Fairytale

Day eight! I originally had a bigger idea for this day, but today was a really busy day and I got home late, so I only did these two sketches, but I hope you like them, Azalea as an elf and Malia as a fairy.

holaaaaaaaa tengo una pregunta de suma importancia: ¿Por qué tus personajes tienen los nombres que tienen? Emily, Azalea, Aurelio, ¿de dónde salieron? ¿tienen motivo/razón/significado?🤔 me intriga mucho saber 👀👀👀👀👀👀

¡Muy buena pregunta, veo a una personita curiosa! 😉

Al diseñar un personaje, busco que su nombre tenga un significado especial o una conexión con él, aqui hay una lista con el significado de cada nombre y la razón de su elección. (Perdon si es mucho texto, soy una nerd cuando se trata de estos temas 😭🙈)

Azalea: Viene de la flor con el mismo nombre, simbolizan la nostalgia y estan conectadas con el hogar, igual que nuestra chica Azalea y su familia.

Malia: Su nombre viene de la forma hawaiana de decir Maria y significa "aguas pacíficas y en calma", lo elegi para reflejar la personalidad tranquila y serena que tiene Malia.

Tambien cuando nombre a ambas primas, pense que seria lindo imaginar que tanto Chris como Martin buscarian nombres relacionados con la tierra y con el mar para llamar a sus respectivas hijas, (Aviva fue quien propuso el nombre de Azalea cuando le regalaron una macetas de aquellas flores.)

Emily: Su significado es "mujer trabajadora" algo que representa bastante bien a Emily, pues a pesar de venir de una familia adinerada, busca ser reconocida por sus propios meritos y deseos.

Nicholas: Al principio elegi este nombre porque me gustaba el apodo de Nick, pero al investigar sobre su etimologia, descubri que al nombre lo caracterizan por ser elegante y servicial, y si bien Nick es todo menos elegante XD, si es verdad que nuestro chico es muy servicial con sus amigas y siempre busca ser util para el equipo

Ahora vamos con Aurelio y Stefania, de entrada digo que ambos nombres son italianos porque me encanta pensar que Donita es o tiene raices italianas.

Aurelio: Su nombre significa "Dorado" en latin, es un nombre que me gusto porque si bien uno puede pensar que es por su riqueza y estilo extravagante, tambien lo es por su corazón, aunque este lo esconde de los demás.

Stefania: Su significado es "corona" o "riqueza", inmediatamente me gusto el nombre porque caracterizaba muy bien a nuestra diva de la moda, aunque el nombre sorprende al ser tambien familiarizado con la nobleza, asi que quizas Stefania nos llegue a sorprender en el futuro.

Y creo que por ahora eso seria todo, espero haber resolvido tus dudas nwn.

P.D: A pesar de haber llamados a cientos de bebes animales, el nombre de su hija fue el mas dificil para Martin xD

Day 7 Little Black Dress

Okay, here we go with day number 7, and honestly it was one I was really looking forward to, and who better to inaugurate the drawing of this day than our second favorite inventor, Emily!

This time I decided to paint in grayscale

Okey, vamos con el dia numero 7, y honestamente era uno que esperaba bastante, y quien mejor para inagurar el dibujo de este dia que nuestra segunda inventora favorita, ¡Emily!

A little bit of Emily's backstory, she meets the Kratt team when she attended a science camp where Aviva volunteered as a teacher during the summer, after that she took Emily as her apprentice when she saw the potential she had and that she was not the same as her father.

That's how she slowly joined the team and met Azalea, Malia and Nick, however, obviously doing it secretly from her family, and as a note, when she's with the team, she always tends to wear the clothes you've already seen her in, however, when she's with her family, she wears the dress from the drawing.

You can say that Emily is the Hannah Montana of the team(?)

Un poco de la historia de fondo de Emily, conoce al equipo Kratt cuando asistio a un campamento de ciencias en el que Aviva se voluntio como maestra durante el verano, tras eso tomo a Emily como su aprendiz al ver el potencial que tenia y que no era igual que su padre.

Asi fue como poco a poco se unio al equipo y conocio a Azalea, Malia y Nick, sin emabergo, obviamente haciendolo a escondidas de su familia, y como nota, cuando esta con el equipo, siempre suele usar la ropa con la que ustedes ya la han visto, sin embargo, cuando esta con su familia, usa el vestido del dibujo.

Day 3 Reading/Book

I'm already improving with the times xd, Third day!, this time we have the "Reading/Book" theme, and I didn't want to waste this opportunity to draw one of my favorite ships from my childhood.

I like to think that when they are not inventing or researching animals with the team, they like to spend time reading a book and could talk for hours about the subject.

Day 2 Dreamcatcher

Second day! This time with a more adorable drawing, plus it gave me an excuse to draw my characters as babies (Well, except for Malia, but you know what I mean)

Day 1 City

Okay, I'm a little late, partly it's my fault for thinking of this idea literally on the first of February, but oh well! we've officially started this drawing series, and the first theme was, City!. After looking for several lists, I chose this one that I found, credits to whoever made this list, so wait every day for a new drawing, most of them will be sketches.

Okey, voy un poco tarde, en parte es mi culpa por pensar en esta idea literalmente el primero de febrero, ¡Pero bueno! oficialmente ya comenzamos con esta serie de dibujos, y el primer tema fue, ¡Ciudad!. Despues de buscar varias lista, elegi esta que encontre esta, creditos a quien haya esto hecha lista, asi que esperen todos los dias por un nuevo dibujito, en su mayoria seran bocetos.

Dia de compras (Shopping day)

Era un dia soleado cuando la nave Tortuga aterrizo en un parque cerca de la ciudad, el equipo Kratt habia hecho una parada de emergencia debido a que se habian quedado sin suministros, por lo que cada uno se dividio una parte de la lista mientras Koki se quedaba en la nave para cuidar de Azalea y Nick de apenas unos meses de edad.

Por otra parte, Martin llego al supermercado con Malia para encargarse de la tarea más facil pero a la vez la más larga, la despensa, la lista de suministros se habia hecho más larga desde que los bebes nacieron, y aún más desde que Martin y Malia volvieron a Tortuga, por lo que iban a tardar un rato en comprar todo.

Justo cuando ya estaban por ir a la caja registradora, padre e hija pasaron por el departamento de ropa infantil, entre todas las prendas, hubo una que capto la atención de la pequeña de 4 años, la cual no dudo en correr hacia los tendederos de ropa.

Cuando Malia regreso con su padre, extendio con sus brazos una sudadera tematizada en un halcón peregrino, fue ahi cuando Martin, siendo un padre primerizo, iba a tener que enfrentar un enorme reto, los ojos de cachorro.

Desafortunadamente perdio la batalla, oh bueno, para él valio la pena con tal de ver a su pequeña feliz, al final logro salirse con la suya cuando le mostro a los demás que tambien habia comprado ropa de animales para Azalea y Nick, asi que todos salieron ganando.

It was a sunny day when the Tortuga ship landed in a park near the city, the Wild Kratts team had made an emergency stop because they had run out of supplies, so each one divided up a part of the list while Koki stayed on the ship to take care of Azalea and Nick, who were just a few months old.

On the other hand, Martin arrived at the supermarket with Malia to take care of the easiest but also the longest task, the groceries, the list of supplies had become longer since the babies were born, and even longer since Martin and Malia returned to Tortuga, so it was going to take them a while to buy everything.

Just when they were about to go to the cash register, father and daughter passed by the children's clothing department, among all the clothes, there was one that caught the attention of the 4-year-old girl, who did not hesitate to run to the clotheslines.

When Malia returned to her father, she held out a peregrine falcon-themed sweatshirt in her arms, and that's when Martin, being a first-time father, was going to have to face a huge challenge: puppy eyes.

Unfortunately he lost the battle, oh well, for him it was worth it to see his little girl happy, in the end he managed to get his way when he showed the others that he had also bought animal clothes for Azalea and Nick, so everyone won.
