its crazy how i felt so incredibly lonely yesterday, and then i listened to zaqs new album, and then i found so many kz accs here, and then i thought about all the messages queer kazakh activists got after the hearing and now i think community will always be found and even if were not super loud we exist and i think i just didn’t see that before

Just watched veteran Kazakh judoka Yeldos Smetov win Olympic gold against a French opponent who had Emanuel Macron in the crowd watching and cheering for him.
Apparently he wanted to retire after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics but he "only" won silver, and we wanted to finish his judo career with gold, so he kept going! What a champion!
