Hace tiempo hubo alguien que me divisó a través de trescientas capas de piel. En el fondo siempre amé la revolución, pero llevaba tiempo escondiendo a la niña rebelde, olvidándola a cambio de calma. Cuando me encontró yo tenía algunas lecciones aprendidas de más y una nota de auxilio en los ojos. No sé qué vio, pero en nuestro primer minuto aprendió lo importante: yo no estaba en mi lugar. Y había olvidado que se podían hacer las maletas. Así que me salvó. Más que eso, me devolvió las ganas de salvarme. Y recordé lo mucho que amaba la revolución, y di un pequeño golpe de estado en mis planes, y me dije “vive”. Y me tomé la dulce y sutil libertad de descarrilar.

Durante un tiempo viví sólo esperando una penitencia, aterrorizada por mis deudas con el karma, pero después aprendí. Aprendí que la vida es caprichosa, no siempre justa, pero no siempre justiciera. Que a veces la vida te da los regalos que no mereces y te perdona los pecados que no has cometido. Que la vida es quien te la da, y ellos son el regalo. Conquistamos pequeños pedazos de mundo. Una cama de hotel, unos cuantos aeropuertos, algún tejado, cientos de ascensores y el mar. Nos convertimos en héroes el uno del otro, por turnos y a veces por accidente. Emprendí el viaje al centro de su planeta. Verne lo había vuelto a hacer, y quién era yo para llevarle la contraria.

Hace tiempo hubo alguien que me asaltó en el camino sin que lo viera venir. La eternidad dejó de ser un concepto vacío. Desentrañamos los hilos enredados del misterio de ser felices, o lo intentamos, o seguimos en ello. Nos hicimos del otro un motivo, un placer, un mandamiento. Un rescate, un escape, un viaje, una lección. Un proceso, una promesa, un momento. Nos hicimos del otro la música y los mapas, nuestro lugar seguro. Seguimos nadando. No con la firmeza de quien busca un tesoro, más bien con la calma de quien lleva el tesoro aprendido. Con el valor de quien cree haberse encontrado a sí mismo, a medias, en otra persona; con el rumbo salvaje de quien no le debe nada al mundo; con el orgullo infinito de quien tiene un hermano.

You should never feel bad about wanting to change or re-shape yourself into the person you want to be. Just because people have an old image of you in their minds, doesn’t mean it’s your responsibility to maintain that. Saying things like “what will they think of me?” will only place fear in your heart and paralyze you from reaching your greatest potential. You deserve to meet the highest version of youself during this lifetime. You can out grow, re-new, evolve as much as you desire. There’s so many layers to us, unravel and explore all of you.

this moment is so incredibly sweet... the way their eyes meet, the way it all suddenly becomes very real, the way Neo reaches for her first, the way Trinity is still unsure of his feelings for her, the way she strokes his cheek with the back of her fingers, the way his hand glides up her neck and craddles her face, the way he initiates the kiss - as if to assure her, as if to say "Yes, I love you too".
