hey everyone ! just a heads up, i'll be inactive for about a week or possibly a little longer. i'm kind of burnt out specifically with maintaining a running queue, so i've decided to take some time just to enjoy playing through the game and queuing up a bunch of posts in bulk. i've already made a lot of progress but i'd like to queue up at least 50 too 100 posts before i jump back into regular activity. because theres something wrong with me i guess 🥰 once i'm back though i'll be posting a lot more actively than i have been, but until then i'll still be around to keep up with the community and your wondeful stories/legacies.

winterfest part 2! yes, keeping up with tradition, juliet decided to respark her bitter old feud with father winter, much to her husband’s utter horror.

hands down my favourite part of the whole day was her autonomously BELLY LAUGHING at him after she won. absolutely brutal, jules. brutal.

first family outing ! jem’s a great dad but i think he was going a bit stir crazy cooped up in the house all the time, and more or less jumped at the opportunity to show the girls the Wide Open Spaces. but since i personally am i cruel and terrible god, most of the adventuring came after forcing them to finish their homework lol. 

juliet reminds me of miss frizzle, and i imagine her mentoring style is just as deranged.

WOOO it’s the birthday girls ! both twins earned themselves the happy toddler trait, which is kinda a bummer considering they got super close to top-notch. oh well. they also have the weak bloodline trait in common, which always feels like a diss when i see it ingame lmao.

it’s the twins birthday ! age is catching up with everyone in the brightbriar household, with everyone more or less existing on birthday cake.

jem did actually host a birthday for the girls this time, but instead of inviting non-existent relatives or eccentric glimmerbook townies, we decided to take the pragmatic approach and invite every single child sim in town.

 a friendship free-for-all!

wow. the end of an era. wild to think vladdy has been in jem’s life longer than jules has. alas, jem’s getting to old to be getting jumpscared by his dastardly vamp ghost roomie, so he lets him go with only his own urn to his name, which we thought was a pretty funny sendoff even if vlad didn’t exactly agree. 

whatever, that’s his problem. you officially OWE us, vladislaus. i’ll be calling in a brightbriar legacy IOU one day i’m sure.

it’s almost the girls’ birthdays! 

jules works more than james nowadays but she’s great at making time for them regardless.

juliet finally maxed the gardening skill and here i am, still no closer to giving her garden a makeover than i was when i first started this legacy. shame on me, really.

she also completed her aspiration! this along with the scenario rewards means we’ve essentially solved the simoleon problem, as the brightbriar household are now the proud owners of two money trees with one more on the way. jules stays my bestest gal <3

just a quick post to say i love the realism of this. really. i do. irl i have two cats with the fluffy trait and yeah. this is Exactly what it’s like <3

some personality quirks i’ve noticed just in the wild during gameplay. florence definitely lives up to her charmer trait and is pretty mellow emotionally (aside from the understandable hanger moments). maybe it's her colour scheme but she totally reminds me of a strawberry and i love her for that.  

imogen meanwhile is hilarious. she’s definitely a silly toddler, but lately i've also caught her demonstrating some bitterness towards her two-minutes-older sister. they’re already good friends, but i can totally see the competitive streak forming in the glint in her eyes lmao.

i so desperately wanted to make this juliet’s new scenario until i saw its new household only. biphobia </3
