The reason Oxventure Heist Society remains a top tier episode of the OX Guild series is because each group that they split off into is experiencing a different genre and failing miserably at their role in it until it confluences into a complete cluster fuck.
Dob and Corazon are in a Swashbuckling Adventure, Egbert is in a Mystery Thriller and Prudence and Merilwen are in a Social Drama and each one of them has absolutely no fucking idea how to navigate their respective situations and it is gold for each one of them.

One of the things I actually really like about the Fall of Anakin Skywalker was how it showed the true horror of a popular romance trope.
Over the years, in numerous books and countless fanfics, we've all seen some variation or another of the infamous "I'd burn the world down for you." And fans always swoon over this line because it's framed as this noble or romantic gesture where the character puts their love over everything else.
What I particularly loved about the prequels was that it showed what happened when the character, in this case, Anakin, actually did burn the world down "for Padmé" and we saw how terrifying and horrendous such a thing actually is.

it really is gleeblor to try and explain to a lot of people that no the GM did not covertly orchestrate every single element of my PC's victory, and when you try to say that, they get all like "oh you sweet summer child" at you like you still believe in Santa Claus
It completely robs you and your PC of absolutely any accomplishments.
I promise you this isn't Critical Role, plot armor does not have to be the default, and the alternative is not just adversarial GMing

Americans, I know we're going through it, but why do I keep seeing stuff like "I'm sorry world, we'll fix this in 4 years"? But like... what do you mean "4 years"?
We have midterm in 2026, yearly local elections, special elections, primaries, etc.
We have the right (dare I say responsibility) to contact our representatives and the right to organize and protest if/when they don't listen.
We need to find a meaningful way to educate people about propaganda and media literacy. We need to convince people to be willing to educate themselves. The habit of only checking in to politics on presidential election years needs broken.
I understand how defeating today feels, but we, especially those of us who could conceivably make it through these four years unscathed, need to stop this proactive surrender.

People have objected to the comparison between D&D fans and gaylors in terms of imagined gayness but like. I'm sorry babes, but the gayness of D&D literally is imagined.
D&D has queer representation in its art and fiction, this is true. Does that representation actually matter for the sake of the themes of the game and its gameplay, as presented in the game? No. You can decide that your elf is gay, and hey, who wouldn't, but the game will just stare at you blankly and not do anything with that information. It's literally fluff in the same sense that your character having blue eyes or being left-handed is. As written the game has nowhere to go with from that information.
But even more so, the thing that inspired that post was people insisting that D&D's gameplay and fiction does somehow interface with queer experiences and is, actually, meaningfully about the experiences of a queer found family and sorry I'm not going to mince words here but that part you straight up did hallucinate.

“This thing is legally dubious and therefore technically unenforceable.” Is not a “useless liberal gotcha” it’s how legalism works in this country. Tying up stupidly worded EOs in court is the quickest way to keep them from being implemented. It is the definition of “doing something.” But it doesn’t usually involve much tweeting so of course a certain type of leftist feels obligated to mock it.
