I had a dream where I was playing p3re and there was a new scene where all of sees tried shooting akihiko with their evoked at once to see if the could like force him to awaken a 3rd time, but all it did was cause ceaser to appear like 6 times at once, give a threatening message and turn one of the evokers into a giant skull

Was trying to stay away from the more popular suggestions and this is the PERFECT choice! Didn't think to look in the Trojan part of Greek History and Mythos (mostly because I'm not well versed in it) but yeah, this fits well with the original theming I was thinking of.

I was leaning more towards something reminiscent of his Social Link from P3P or something representing self-restraint or control.

I felt if he did get his awakened persona form, he'd have to learn to tame Castor without the use of suppressors and forgive himself to move on from his self-destructive tendencies... so he could be there to protect those that matter to him.

Shinjiro really is a sweetheart underneath his tough facade, and I think Hector fits with the overall manner of Shinji's hidden traits that P3P portrayed. He has a lot of love in his heart for those closest to him that shows in subdued ways.

Thank you for introducing me to this figure in Trojan history, he sounds like a great man indeed.

What would Shinji's awakened Persona have been? I often think about this and I think Hector of Troy is my favorite answer.

Hector is the most skilled warrior on Troy's side in the Iliad, in keeping with the martial skill that both Castor and Polydeuces embody. Hector is also often portrayed as a reasonable, caring and loving person and an affectionate husband, which I think are traits that fit Shinji really well - much better than the bloodthirst and anger of, say, Ajax or Achilles. Hector strongly opposes the war in The Trojan War Will Not Take Place and Wikipedia says his nobility is a key trait in Shakespeare's Troilus and CressidaI.

I also like the idea of picking a Trojan hero for Shinji. I always understood the choice of the Roman Caesar -as opposed to another Greek figure like is tradition - for Aki as representative of his personal growth leading him away from his childhood friend and to more independance. It makes sense to me to have Shinji's awakened Persona mirror this, moving eastwards rather than westwards.

Hector would still keep a connection to Julius Caesar though; they are both among the Nine Worthies, a group of 9 historical and mythological figures viewed during the Middle Ages as the apex of chivalry.

As a little treat, Hector is also killed during the siege of Troy, so it keeps the macabre theming Castor had.
