i think the real turning point for walter white was when he missed holly's birth. he was already losing skyler's trust by not being home and lying to her and disappearing and he was trying ("trying") to make it up to her. he obviously still loved skyler and he had the opportunity to regain her trust. but the moment he missed skyler giving birth to go sell meth was the turning point in my opinion.
