the unwise player continues playing despite apparent deception
the wise player stops playing as soon as the fun ends
the rabbit hole of designing "authenticity" ends nowhere fun, this is the vertical linear thought of nostalgia, comparison, fidelity. quick-burn payoffs that undermines the core mission of making the game fun to play.

Inverted World
Intertia, Stagnation; We dropped late and cold, and were met with no resistance. A wealth of resources lay about us. So many possibilities lay ahead of us that we were paralyzed with indecision. Morale is far from poor, but I am forced to choose a direction at random to lead us from this emptied and dying place.
Emperor
Stability, Power, Reason, Conviction; We came under attack by multiple squads and after eliminating two from just outside the mountain complex, we were forced to enter the complex for cover. Once inside, we were surrounded at both ends. While I secured the outer door, my team took one of theirs and the rest fled through the mountain and we redeployed to the peak of the central high ground.
Moon
Hidden Enemies, Darkness, Danger, Error; After holding our hilltop for some time, I found myself taking cover from an artillery strike in a narrow service passageway. A different squad was hiding in the passageway, only to reveal themselves and engage me. Cut off from my squad, taking fire and near death, in desperation I lobbed every explosive I carried at every angle of their escape and ruined them. I should not have survived.
Wheel
Destiny, Fortune, Success; We carried out our hunt for the last two squads aggressively and decisively. The last of them, an Octane, ran at great speed along the outer edge of the ring as I gave chase. I executed him on his knees to secure our victory.
