Abed and Troy were both fixing their hair in the bathroom mirror frantically. They always hated this part. Yes, they cleaned up nicely, but it was still a pain to have to put on monkey suits and be “normal”. Not even just “normal”, “charming”. They hated having to be “charming” even more than they hated having to be “normal”. But that’s what they had to do for these interviews. Today’s interview was with Ryan Warner for Colorado Matters, a show on their network that their boss got them an interview on. This interview meant to promote the finale for season 1 of Soap Disco, and they were terrified. This was a show hosted by a local celebrity, every Monday, in the middle of the afternoon. It was their first talk show appearance, promoting the most important episode they have ever written. The promotion of this episode would drive the ratings. The ratings would determine whether or not they got greenlit for season 2. Not only that, but this episode meant a lot to both of them, and they would have to communicate that well. They would have to communicate everything well. This interview needed to be perfect.
