Is this account still updating? I really like it but there haven’t been any new posts in a few weeks. I don’t mean to be pushy/rude, I’m just curious.
Hi anon, no offense taken! The last post I can see is from July 28th, which isn't too long ago; as far as I know it's still working.
However, the nature of janky little AO3 scrapers on tumblr is that by and large we put them together via awkward modifications to an ancient ITTT formula that hasn't worked since at least 2015 and when they work, we don't quite understand why. I've never managed to find an updated how-to that actually functions as given, and this one is the most stable feed I've ever managed.
But as tumblr's code continues to evolve over the years, I do expect ao3feed-jonelias to stop working altogether someday. When that day arrives, I will try to cook up a new ITTT, which might even work if tumblr makes good on its aim of partnering with them to make the process less of a nightmare clownshow clusterfuck! If not, however, I will make a new pinned post saying that I tried and failed.
If someone with more can-do spirit and technical knowhow makes an alternate Jonelias feed, I will be delighted to promote them! Just drop me a link to their blog and I'll queue up a promotional post to run here on a regular basis for a couple months, and add a link to the aforementioned pinned post. I can also change this blog's url so that they can have it. I want to do everything possible to ensure this service remains available for this ship, but the fact remains that I am something of a dumbass in technical matters and can only work within my skill level.
