Ştiam oricum că vor fii momente în care voi cădea din nou la pământ. Momente în care îmi voi dorii pur şi simplu să nu exist. Să fiu ştearsă de pe fața pământului. Căci iadul se dezlănțuie în mine, mă face să simt ce nu-mi doresc. Mă obligă să fiu rece.. să… să mă prăbuşesc pe nevrute. Regret tot. Regret că uneori chiar şi eu plâng, eu care vă ridic pe toți de la pământ. Dar durerea e prea mare. Nu mai rezist.

World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76

The British scientist was famed for his work with black holes and relativity, and wrote several popular science books including ‘A Brief History of Time’. At the age of 22 Prof Hawking was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease. In his 2013 memoir he described how he felt when first diagnosed with motor neurone disease. “I felt it was very unfair - why should this happen to me,” he wrote. “At the time, I thought my life was over and that I would never realise the potential I felt I had. But now, 50 years later, I can be quietly satisfied with my life.”

Jennybird Alcantara’s “Reveries of the Untamed Darlings” at KP Projects.

Opening this Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at KP Projects Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Jennybird Alcantara’s solo exhibition, “Reveries of the Untamed Darlings.”

From KP Projects, “Alcantara’s rich, detailed, and enigmatic oil paintings explore themes of the natural, instinctual part of humans, animals, and nature itself.  Serving as porthole views into unseen places revealing moments frozen in time where roles are exchanged between the characters and species of the landscape. ‘Reveries’ is an epic fantasy, where the untamed are the gatekeepers of the mysterious beyond.”

The exhibition will be on view until April 14th, 2018.
