I am begging the FDA to require that companies CANNOT just put "spices" as an ingredient but have to label the spices.
"Spices" can mean "this has some oregano and black pepper in it" or it can mean "this has cumin cayenne and paprika and if you eat this you will be sick in bed in pain for a week" for me.
Seriously, this is an allergy issue and a huge oversight on the part of corporations.
Require detailed labeling of spices used in packaged foods NOW.

I don’t know how to explain this pain in words. But if you’re reading this, I need you to listen. 25 of my family members are gone. The war didn’t just take their lives—it took our future.
We are still fighting to survive. With no home, no income, and nowhere safe to go, we are asking for your kindness.

This song shares a name with from an earlier track on Ambedo. I think the extremely simplistic song from Ambedo is meant to be a comedy track, or maybe it was going to be the outro for her YouTube videos and used as a snarky Patreon credits jingle.
This song, on the other hand, while it could still be used as a patreon credits jingle, is more intertwined with the message of the album overall. Which is, despite the song’s heavy demeanor, that the one thing that matters in this life is love and the people who you love. The story is about an artist who puts her work in front of everything else, with the goal of fame, money, and wealth, to the point where she push away the only good thing in their life, justifying it to themself by calling their former partners “wack”, describing the relationships as a trap, eventually using the excuse that the love of her life was only with her for her money. But when she sees it clearly after getting super popular, she kills herself in a hotel room after a show.
@mayleitz you tell good stories. I’m very bad at trying to explain my thoughts but I wanna know if my interpretation of A Touch of Grace is anywhere near accurate. I’m certain that I’m missing details and I know leaving some things out because I want people to buy this album and listen to it, but is that remotely close?

Its media literacy is also piss poor. Cookie Clicker is literally a criticism of “make number go up”. Like Universal PaperClips.

🌟 For Life or What? 🌟
We don't even know anymore. Khaled, my little one, has started pronouncing the word "bombing," and it terrifies me.
I’m not here to beg or list every detail—because even an entire newspaper wouldn’t be enough. The images on TV screens and the stories you see online already tell you so much about what we endure. But no matter how much you see, you’ll never truly feel what we feel. And I wouldn’t wish this life on anyone.
We are victims of conflicts we never chose. We love life—deeply, desperately—as long as we’re allowed to live it. We don’t want war, we don’t want destruction. All we want is a future. A future for ourselves, for our children—a future like every other human being deserves.
Tumblr media
How You Can Help In this moment of despair, I reach out to you—not just as a stranger, but as a fellow human being. Our humanity connects us, and compassion knows no boundaries. Your kindness, no matter how small, can bring a glimmer of hope to our lives, shattered by war.
Here’s what we’re trying to rebuild: 💔 $5,000 for the father. 💔 $5,000 for the mother. 💔 $2,500 for Khaled. 💔 $2,500 for Intesar. The rest will go toward essential living expenses—because there’s no safety net here, no hospitals, no medicine, no healthy food.
Our baby has been sick countless times, and every evacuation has only made things worse. We need help to survive, to heal, and to dream of a better tomorrow.
Even a Little Means Everything We appreciate your help, even if it’s just a small donation or simply sharing our story. Every bit of support matters. Together, we can rebuild what’s been taken from us and find hope amidst the rubble.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

“Whatever happened to T-shirt Medusa?” by J. Richmond
Whew. 60 panels in 3 days. This is the longest “24 Hour comic” I’ve ever done (And of course it doesn’t count as a 24 Hour Comic at all because it took 3 days). As a point of reference, I usually do 8 Modest Medusa strips each month. So this is 15 comics worth of panels, or about 2 whole months of Modest Medusa strips.
This one is a deep dive. 6 or 7 years ago I launched a “t-shirt of the month” project created the character “T-shirt Medusa” to promote it. T-shirt Medusa starred in a few promotional strips that appeared in 2016 and 2017, where she would mysteriously show up to taunt Modest (the main character of my comic) into buying a shirt (I incorporated two of those strips into this comic). I had kind of sort of thought I’d maybe offer a canonical explanation for this someday, and that thought eventually turned into this comic. Obviously not canon.
This comic is more about me and my uncertainties, fears and anxiety over the last few years than anything else, but I think maybe a lot of you can find something relatable here. I came up with the idea for this comic during the most recent Modest Medusa Kickstarter when I thought that project wasn’t going to fund and I suddenly realized I had no idea what I was going to do with myself if I couldn’t make a living doing Modest Medusa anymore after 12 years. The project did fund, but that feeling of dread has lingered. I’ve decided to try to learn from it.
This comic takes its name from the classic Superman story “Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrow?” It was created for the new 48 Hour Modest Medusa book. Which is available now on my site.
No plans for new t-shirts. Well… maybe. More Modest Medusa here.

queer community: please take a moment to read this ask sent by a nonbinary parent discussing their 11 year old transmasc child's experience if you don't believe that transandrophobia is real or that you don't think man hating hurts queer people.
i recently received an ask from a nonbinary parent whose 11 year old transmasc son is dealing with suicidal thoughts and regret because of these behaviors being so common in queer spaces now. he can't escape it, even his friends are awful to him about it and he has to apologize for being transmasc often. he is being robbed of his childhood because people are already forcing him to adopt the "man" role and take heat for it even though he is literally 11 years old.
please take the time to read his story. this is real. it hits hard. this is not just petty fighting online. it gets carried into the real world. those people don't stop believing those things just because they logged off. they're real people. all of these things affect real people because the people behind the posts are real and what they say stems from how they behave.
would you rather see dead trans boys instead of living trans men?
you know the rush you get when you fuck with someone? its temporary, and it creates a howling void. the way you treat that other person? Can stick with them for life. you getting your kicks out of abusing and bullying children has real world consequences. how would you feel if a trans boy actually ended their life because of what you said to them online? you'd say you'd feel proud, but you wouldn't. you won't feel good if it actually happens.
do boys not exist or do they get a special pass and are only killed once they're men? saying things like "kill all men" and pressuring trans men and boys to stop being trans or become more feminine or leave trans spaces altogether is hurting people in the real world. it's not just a funny haha thing you say online, it's happening. and the worst part is that it's the norm. not all transmascs have the ability to have any power over you at all. some transmasculine people are boys, not men. some are children you are not justified in mocking young transmasculine people because they're boys. they're not even men yet. trans boys aren't getting the chance to even become men, let alone be persecuted for it.
please stop. it's making children consider suicide. and don't you dare say "good". like how could a child dying because they were tortured mentally by adults and kids older than them dying ever be a good thing? they're vulnerable. trans boys are vulnerable. you're picking on vulnerable children. you're picking on adults who have already gone through this a million times before. enough. please stop bullying transmasc children. stop doing it to transmasc adults, too, stop doing it to all transmascs. but please stop making kids feel this way. that "petty teenage discourse" is a thing that carries over into the real world and hurts kids. teenagers are kids. preteens are kids. this is hurting the younger generation. why do we see this as okay?
this in and of itself is an example of transandrophobia. please stop. let trans boys grow up to be happy trans men who live long lives. they deserve it. protect trans kids includes transmasc kids and kids who are trans boys. we're shutting down these conversations. you can't keep doing this to other trans people and act like it's funny and cool and whatever.
like seriously, stop. dead children aren't funny.
we're done.
thank you.
