*Qurbani Appeal 2023*

Darul Uloom Afzalia, Peshawar Pakistan.

Assalamualaikum, I pray that you are well inshaAllah. 😊

Allah continues to shower us with seasons of goodness wherein we can avail ourselves of His mercy and forgiveness.

Prescribed in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ, Qurbani is one of the great symbols of Islam. It is an emphasised Sunnah and carries great reward.

This is an appeal for your Qurbani Donations for the students of Madrasah Darul Uloom Afzalia in Peshawar, Pakistan. The madrasah accommodates children who are orphans or from very poor families. The Qurbani will be distributed to the kids along with the poorest and most deserving families within the area. Such kids and families might only get to eat meat once a year!

ALLAH says:

﴿ لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ مِنكُمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمۡ لِتُكَبِّرُواْ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمۡۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ﴾

[ الحج: 37]

"It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him. Thus have We made them subject to you that you may magnify Allah for His Guidance to you. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad SAW) to the Muhsinun (doers of good)."

Aisha *رضي الله عنها* narrates that Rasulullah *ﷺ* said, 

“There is nothing dearer to Allah Ta’ala during the days of Qurbani than the spilling of blood _(i.e. the sacrificing of animals)._

The sacrificed animal shall come on the Day of Qiyamah with its horns, hair and hooves _(to be weighed)._

The sacrifice is accepted by Allah Ta’ala before the blood reaches the ground. 

Therefore carry out the Qurbani in a condition that your heart is pleased and happy to fulfil the command of Allah Ta’ala.  *(Tirmidhi)*

Allah reward and accept our Udhiyyah and good deeds in these blessed days. Allah have mercy on us all. Ameen.

The prices for Qurbani are stated below:

£50 for 1 part of a big Animal (Hissah)

£350 for 7 parts of a big Animal

£75 for a small Animal
