Warmth
|Prompt | "How about something warm? It'll help you sleep." | Jade x Gender-Neutral reader. | Jade and her dad get into a fight, she ends up and your front door late in the night | Fluff and the smallest bit of angst, just a tad |
Jade and her father were never on good terms. They fought all the time over the smallest things. And that was only when they decided to acknowledge each other. But this fight had to be the worst since the time she got a tattoo without her father's permission. She was kicked out of the house for three weeks couch surfing until her mother called her back, just because of that fight. This time Jade's father had lost a particularly big deal at his job and was already in a terrible mood, but when Jade came home with an attitude worse than normal from failing an exam in her easiest class it was like two tornados collided. Everything was calm until night struck and her father started to knock back shots as if they were water. Yelling ensued, things were thrown, names were called, and Jade was in tears. Particularly because of one sentence.
"It's not my fault you fucked me up!"
"It's not my fault you're even here! I never wanted you!"
At that Jade recoiled. She wanted to tell herself it was just because he was drunk, but then again it was commonly said that liquor was a truth serum. She ran down to her room and grabbed her purse. She didn't feel like doing anything but crying in bed but that would mean she would have to stay in that household that didn't feel like her own anymore.
Jade always knew she and her family had their differences, about basically everything, but she still wanted their approval, their love. In that house, it was a competition with love as the prize. But Jade didn't want to think about that. She went to her "happy place" as people liked to call it. Her happy place was you. So whether she did or didn't mean to she was pulled into your driveway at one in the morning. Her makeup was all over her face, eyes red, voice hoarse from the yelling, and tired. So, so tired.
She went to knock but stopped herself, other people would be home. So instead she called you. It rang until the last ring when you answered. You were a fairly light sleeper. You were since childhood. Being scared of monsters put you on edge then, and you just never grew out of it. You never needed more than one alarm to get up in the morning. So Jade's call woke you up almost instantly.
    "Jade?"
"Y/N, I-" her voice strained and cracked the more she tried to talk.
"Y/N, I got in a really bad fight with my dad again, I-" this time she wasn't cut off by herself but by you.
    "I'll come open the door."
It wasn't the first time Jade showed up in the middle of the night. She did so every few months actually. When the fights got too bad, or when she just couldn't be away from you. Apart from what would be thought she was clingy and needed attention often. It didn't take long for you to emerge from your first-floor room and to the front door. You quietly gasped when you saw her. So vulnerable, so shaken.
You let her in and locked the door after shutting it.
    "Wanna talk about it?"
    "Later, please." You nodded.
     "Here, follow me."
You took her to the bathroom to wipe off her makeup. You then got her a change of clothes from the collection of clothes she left at your house. She was sitting on your legs, making them go numb, her head on your chest, with your hands running through her hair. After a handful of minutes, you broke the silence.
"Wanna try going to bed?" Jade nodded in response and rolled off your lap. You wrapped your arms around her and held her close under the covers.
All was well until you felt her body start to shake again, though no noise was being made. Silent crying, a skill Jade had gotten down, but not perfected. She had to as to keep up her stone-cold exterior.
    "Jade? Are you... crying?"
    Jade sniffled "What? No."
You weren't buying it and carefully slid out of bed to turn the lights on. Sure enough, she was sitting up with tears on the pillow and her face, eyes only slightly pink.
"Can't sleep?" She shook her head 'No'.
"Still thinking about the fight?" At this, she whispered a 'Yes'.
"How about something warm? It'll help you sleep." You waited a minute for her to respond before a quiet voice asked for tea.
You tip-toed to the kitchen to make the tea. Instead of boiling the water in the kettle you microwaved it to reduce noise. You were stuck between black and chamomile. You ending up going with chamomile remembering back when your grandmother would give it to you after your nightmares during your summers spent at her house in Ohio. You sneaked back to your room even more careful now with hot tea in your hands.
You set it on the side table for Jade when it cooled down.
    "Chamomile."
You turned out the lights once more but left your lamp on for Jade.
It took an hour but she was finally asleep, and so, you were too.
--------
In the morning you Woke at nine am but let Jade sleep until she woke at twelve-thirty.
Jade woke up confused about where she was but then she remembered the fight with her father and where that brought her.
You walked in five minutes after she woke up and she was now sitting up.
"Look who's up!"
Jade groaned at the noise and you went to sit next to her.
"Spare toothbrush is in the bathroom and clothes from last night are over there."
She nodded and slowly dragged herself to your bathroom. She brushed her teeth and shoved her clothes into her purse. After, you brought her a simple breakfast of eggs and toast.
"Wanna talk about it now?" You asked as she set the plate down next to the teacup from last night.
"I guess it's nerf or nothing..."
"I guess it's now or never"
Jade then went on about the fight, about the horrid things she said and the horrid things said back. And when she told you about the part that made her leave you hugged her close.
"I'm so so sorry Jade"
Jade then pulled away.
"I should get going."
You nodded. "Text me if anything, I love you,"
Jade said a quick I love you and sneaked out the front door.
A/N: um i may or may not have been slacking off with writing... but in my defense mental health comes first. I’ve also been thinking about writing for new fandoms out of my comfort zone. I’m scared they’ll come out shit and won’t be read lololol. Anyways, enjoy! :)

Wake Up!
|Prompt: Nightmare Comfort | request fill | Jade West x Reader | gender neutral!Reader| Jade, and Reader go to a sleepover at Tori's house prompted by Cat, and You have a nightmare. Jade comforts you. | fluff and a tiny little bit angst |
You had been getting night terrors since you were little. Anything would set them off back then. A stranger on the passing sidewalk who looked at you for a moment too long, the ladybug who had one too many spots, really, everything could have sent you down one nightmare after another. It got better in your teen years, but they still happened, still jolted you awake in a cold sweat, crying nine times out of ten. This is why you were reluctant to accept this slumber invitation. You really almost said no, but Jade had convinced you to go. After all, who would say no to an honest 'please' coming from the normally stone-cold gank.
Jade would have said no as well and just spent the night with you instead, but Cat was tearing up and going on a long-winded speech about how senior year was almost over and how college would separate you all. All of which led up to this moment. You were packing your small overnight bag. Clothes, deodorant, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc., etc. Jade would pick you up and the two of you would face this horrid night together. You did in fact like spending time with Cat and Tori, but your nerves got to you and all you could think about was 'what if I have a stupid nightmare? Like a child! Wake up crying and ruin it for everybody.'
This is what caused you to stare at your shoes the whole ride over, only looking up when forcefully brought back to earth by Jade.
"What were you thinking about?"
"It's nothing, Jade. We should go in now, better get it over with-"
"Y/N were not leaving this car unti-" She was cut off by Cat bounding over from the front door of the Vega's house and over to your passenger side door.
"Hiii!" Cat yelled while twirling a strand of her hair around her finger.
"I tried to stop her!" Tori yelled while following after her, panting.
Jade rolled her eyes and pointed her finger at you.
"We're talking about this later, Y/N. Now let's go, I got your bag."
Jade, You, Cat, and Tori all walked in together. Jade holding both of your bags. (whipped? more likely than you think.)
Cat was the first to jump onto one of the couches, sitting on the right couch, Tori followed her and sat next to her. You and Jade took up the left couch, you laying your head on her shoulder. And every time Cat or Tori sent an 'aww' look your way she snarled.
"So! we should start off with hmmm- oh oh I know! Truth or dare!" That was Cat, and she was buzzing with excitement. You could practically see the happiness seeping from her tone.
"What are we? Ten? No, Cat."  Jade hated truth or dare, or well most times she did. It was only fun when it was in her favor of looking for gossip or stirring up drama.
You, however, were open to the game. Having played it growing up to pass time you didn't mind the small request from the red-headed girl.
"Cmon' Jadey! Please-" Cat tried to speak but Jade cut her off.
"No!" The one word Jade said multiple times a day. It seemed to be her only reaction to things.
You didn't want to see Cat sad or hear for that matter. Cat would start to cry and then all hell would happen, so you took things into your own hands.
"Jade, don't be rude! It's a sleepover! Just play the game, please. For me?" You sat up to look her in the eyes right as you said please. Crossing your eyebrows a touch and only slightly pouting your lips. A look you've perfected to get the girl sitting in front of you into a puddle.
Jade grumbled a 'fine' and the four of you played for an hour. One of the 'truths' being asked by Tori to Jade was "Is it true your whipped for Y/N?". It took you and Cat lots of tiring effort to pull Jade off Tori.
--------
It was two hours since the game. You four were now watching a movie and poking fun at the cliches, well you guys were until Jade reminded you all that every single one of you guys fit into one or another cliche. After a movie or two, you guys ate dinner and just talked until the time came for sleep. Tori slept in her bed, Cat, You, and Jade played a human game of Tetris and managed to fit on the floor
You tried to sleep, you did, but you just couldn't. So once you thought that everybody was asleep you grabbed your phone and scrolled endlessly through Twitter. An hour later and your eyes were getting more and more sensitive to the light, your arms slowly let go of your phone, and you fell asleep.
You woke up in school, you heard nothing but your ragged breath. Everything around you was blurred, and from what you could see there were thick layers of fog. You could make out the familiar bright student decorated lockers that lead you to find out you were in the school. You stepped forward but all you saw was the fog. You walked the familiar way to your favorite acting teacher's room. You walked forward through the classroom door until you almost tripped over something on the floor. You knelt down to get a closer look, but you wished you hadn't. You had thought you just tripped over a chair or miss placed item, but what you tripped on was far worse. It was jade. A bloody Jade. A dead Jade. Your heart stopped, and you stopped. All you could do was stare. You wanted to scream, to run, to hug her, to help her. But all you could do was stare. Eventually, it stopped. You leaned forward and grabbed onto Jade's shoulders.
"Jade?!" Your voice echoed as if in a cave.
"Jade!" You shook her and screamed and cried.
"What happened? Jade? Fuck! No no no!"
Her lips, looking both pale and blue but also a blood-red moved slightly, saying something.
Tears freely flowed down your face as you leaned in.
"Jade? What is it? Jade!"
No response.
You held her body close and cried, just cried. Although you heard a voice that only got louder.
"Wake up."
"Y/N."
"Wake up!"
You felt as if there was an earthquake and shut your eyes.
But once you opened them all you saw was black and blue hair that you knew to be Jade's. The same Jade that was just dead in your hands. Your arms flew around the familiar body and you held her close while your body shook in tears.
"cmon, Y/N. Up." She gripped your torse and helped you up from your makeshift sleeping bag on the floor to the living room.
You two sat on the couch, you were still crying, silently this time. And Jade was holding you. Long arms wrapped firmly around you, rubbing the small of your back. You weren't sure how long had passed since you woke from the horrible dream. but finally, your tears had dried and you pulled away from Jade.
"Wanna talk about it?"
You didn't. Not one bit. But you knew she would be ever so worried if you didn't. So you pulled it together and nodded.
"It was um a dream- well no- a nightmare."
Jade merely nodded along with every few words you said.
"I get really bad um nightmares, ever since I was little, that why I was in a bad mood when we arrived. Scared of doing what I just did."
"So what was this nightmare about?"
"You."
"oh?"
"I was uh in school, there was a fog, and uh I went to Mr.Sakowitz's room. You were there on the floor-" You started to tear up again. The image of your girlfriend on the floor flooding your mind once more.
"It's okay, Y/N."
"You were there on the floor... bloody, blue, and dead. And I wanted to scream I wanted to do something but I couldn't. All I could do was cry silently and stare. It was horrible Jade! Horrible!"
At this point, you were full-on crying again.
"Here how about this, you go wait in my car, I'll grab our things, and we can go to my house. Okay?"
"But I don't wanna impose- Cat was so happy for this."
"If you don't want to stay you don't have to, if they say anything about it I'll cut em up with my scissors. Okay? Now go," Jade fished through her purse that was thrown on the couch from earlier and handed them to you.
You took them and walked as quickly as you could to Jade's car that was parked out front.
After Jade climbed into the car and drove you back to her place, she made you tea, got out chips and other snacks, and took you down into what she likes to call her 'demon lair'.
You slowly sipped the hot tea while you pushed your body as far into Jade as it would go. You watched a silent film and slowly fell into a dreamless sleep.
Jade took your tea cup and put it on her side table, tucked you in, and held you close to her.
---------
The next morning you woke up to Jade staring at you. "You watching me sleep, spooky lady?"
She shook her head at you and pressed a kiss into your cheek. "Morning,"
You tried to kiss her on the lips but she pulled back. "Morning breath, Y/N!"
Your own face scrunched up and you sat up.
"Sorry," With that you went up the stairs and into the bathroom to brush your teeth.
Jade took the time to call Cat, who she assumed would be up by now.
"Hi, Jadey!"
"Don't call me that, Cat"
"Sowwy!"
"Don't baby talk me either Cat!"
"Anyways. I was calling to say I was sor- sorr- I can't do it- I just- we left early because Y/N's mom needed her and I drove her home. I just didn't come back because it was my chance to escape."
"Okee Dokie! Is Y/N's mom okay?"
"Yeah just, bye."
Jade hung up and turned round to see you smiling at the foot of your bed.
You and Jade ended up meeting back up with Tori and Cat for a day out.
A/N: Woah! me updating- at a semi-decent time? Who knew that was possible, I didn't. I also completely forgot the men in this show existed for a hot second and forgot to write them in. Oops? I only went through this once so- do with that as you will. That is all from me!

Just text me!
Prompt: Jade doesn't like talking on the phone, but Reader always calls her instead of texting. Reader admits that it's because they want to hear Jade's voice. | or: Two times reader got away with calling instead of texting, and one time they didn't. | Jade x Gender-Neutral!Reader |
                                                       -ONE-
Jade hated lots of things, wet door-nobs (but then again, who likes them?), ducks, and this list could go on but then it would take hours to read. And one of the things she hated most was talking on the phone. She never understood why anybody would want to talk on the phone when you would just type and not have to listen to anybody's annoying voice. Hence why she only answered the phone 5% of the time and hung up the rest of the time. By now everybody had gotten the memo to stop calling her, and they did. Only calling when it was an emergency. Everybody but you understood this unsaid contract. You always opted to call her rather than text her, and nine times out of ten she always answered, because anytime she didn't you'd send her voice memos of you pleading for her to answer. She was always rendered powerless to you when you sounded just so sad.
Now was one of those nines times. Jade had been reading 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell when you called. She groaned and went to press the little red button until she saw your face in the contact picture. Her thumb quickly switched course and she immediately pressed the green one instead.
    "Hi~ Jade!"
    "Y/N."
"So I just saw the cutes-" She cut you off.
"No! Do not start about a cute dog again!"
"But it's just so cute! the owner said his name was Mr.Doodles! Mr.Doodles!"
"This was just something you could've texted me you know." Your line went quiet for a moment before she started again.
"Why do you always call me? I think I've only ever gotten texts from you when we were in class."
"...What's wrong with me calling you huh!? You meanie!"
"I'm not mean! Don't lie you liar!"
    "If I'm a liar you're a meanie!"
"I'm no- Hold on. Don't do this."
Whenever you wanted to get away with something you just went off on a tangent and distracted her until she forgot what she was even talking about in the first place.
"Do what?" Your tone was almost sweet and almost innocent. Almost.
"Forget it, but next time you see a stupid dog with an even stupider name, just text me."
You hummed in response and she hung up the phone.
                                             -----------------------------
                                                           -TWO-
You always found a way to bypass Jade's no calling rule. You always made sure to curve her questions so that you'd never be lying but not exactly telling the truth. It wasn't like Jade ever truly hated your calls. She did, of course, hate everybody else's but when your number popped up on her screen she'd answer always. She loved your weird squeals, snorts, and giggles you made when the two of you were talking. Everything you did was cute to her. But after a while, she got suspicious of you. The way you'd always call her over the smallest things. As if looking for any reason at all to call her. The way whenever she asked you to just text her you never directly said 'yes' or any time she asked about your calling addiction you just changed the subject.
Right now you had just noticed a bunny hopping along through the long stretch of grass of which you were walking along. You'd often take an afternoon to just wander this 'park' that was really just grass, trees, flowers, and animals. Few children were ever spotted there but you and a few others were frequent visitors. Your favorite thing to do there was just sitting on one of the many benches and watching for any and all animals. One of the animals being bunnies. Animals of which happen to be your newest reason to call a certain loud-mouthed-dark-haired girl.
It only took two rings before her voice came from the phone's speaker.
"Y/N! Again? What is it this time?"
"Bunny!"
Jade grumbled about you wasting her time but you just went on about the small animal you'd noticed. You didn't talk for very long as there wasn't much about the animal to describe. It was fairly small, grey with some brown patches, beady black eyes, ears that stook up toward the sky, and two long front teeth.
"I will ask again, why did you call me for this?"
"Because the bunny was so super cute and you needed to hear about it!"
"Needed, did I?"
"Uh-huh!"
"Then why didn't you just text me."
"What's that Jade?" You started to blow into the mic of the phone.
"You're breaking up! Call you later!"
You stuffed your phone back into your jacket pocket and started the longish walk back to your car.
                                                       -THREE-
This time you called her when you were in the supermarket, getting snacks for you and Jade's monthly movie marathon. You two got together monthly to watch movies all night and spend the day together the day after, every last Saturday and Sunday of every month. It started when Jade's parents went on another business trip for the weekend and she had gotten lonely and invited you over for the weekend. Though she would never admit to being lonely, you knew. Anyway, you each took turns buying the snacks. Last time Jade bought them so now it was your turn. And at the moment you were trying to decide between strawberry pocky or cookies and cream. It took you a minute but you ended up deciding to call Jade and ask which one to get.
And, in true whipped sapphic nature she answered almost as soon as you called.
"What!"
"hi, love."
It took a minute but she mumbled a 'hi' in return.
"Should i get strawberry or cookies and cream pocky?"
"Really, Y/N?"
"hm?"
"You call me.. over Pocky?!"
You pouted, even though you knew she couldn't see you.
"Mhm! Now tell me!"
"You could've tex-"
"I know I know I could've texted you, but I didn't, so tell me now which one to get!"
"If you know to text me, then why, why, do you always call?"
"because i- forget it, ill just get Oreos."
You pulled the phone away and went to press 'hang up' but a 'wait!' coming from the small box stopped you. You pressed the phone up to your cheek once more.
"Hm?"
"Get the strawberry ones."
"Okay! Bye-bye, love you!"
you hung up before she could say it back.
                                                          --------
It was an hour after the whole pocky incident and you were now on your first movie of the night, which was of course, 'The scissoring'. You always started the night off with some type of horror movie, per Jade's request of course.
She was pulling out one of the four pocky boxes you had purchased.
"Y/N?"
You turned your head from the screen to her.
"Why do you always call me! And don't call me mean, or a liar, or anything! Just tell me the truth. Or I'll end this weekend early. I swear on it!"
At that, you frowned. You were on one hand embarrassed at the true reasoning behind all your calls, but you wanted to be with jade for the next twenty-four hours so you gave in almost immediately after she said that.
"Well I just," you tilted your head down and mumbled out the rest in a confusing sentence. "Ilikehearingyourvoiceandijustiguessitrytolookforanyreasontohearitagain"
"Huh? Speak slower, love. Look- I won't make fun of you, I swear."
You look up at her and nod slightly.
"I said, I call you all the time because I like hearing your voice, so I guess I kinda just started looking for any reason to call you and hear it again. I'm sorry..."
At this, she tried to bite back a smile but in the end, the smile won and she look your face into her hands.
"You don't need to say sorry, Y/N. It's kind of cute."
You smiled once more and nestled yourself in her arms after you gave her a sickeningly sweet kiss.
A/N: *me walking in after not updating for like a month or two* hey yall... how yall doin?.
No, but for real, I just started streaming and I guess it's distracted me a bunch. I took it up after my hamster died cuz I used to talk to my hamster a lot and since she was gone I needed to talk to somebody who wasn't my large stuffed animal collection. Any-who, I'll try to update more! And i wrote this at 3 am after streaming for like an hour soooooo, sorry for the fuck ups.

Mistletoe? More like Mistlehoe.
A/N: I'm very proud of that title, though it has little to nothing to do with this fic.
PROMPT: Jade hangs mistletoe and stands under it. The reader doesn't know what mistletoe is and doesn't understand why jade has been standing under the weird ceiling booger for ten minutes. | Jade x Gender Neutral!Reader
Your school day had just ended and you were headed to Jade's house. She'd taken the day off for a reason unknown and told you to go to hers after you got out. And so, you did. Your family was not one for Christmas, neither were you. Every time schools taught about Christmas you got "sick" for the week. It wasn't that you weren't in the spirit or anything it's just the colors sucked, the big red guy got all the credit for the parent's work, and the stupid coloring sheets that got handed out were cheaply made and gave you paper cuts.
Your lack of Christmas knowledge really showed when you unlocked Jade's front door with the black spare key she'd given you a few weeks after you two were official and scrunched your eyebrows together when you saw her just standing at the beginning of the hallway with a weird green thing dangling over her. You noted that it looked a lot like a cartoon booger hanging from somebody's nose.
"You just gonna stand there?" You asked.
"Yup."
You just chalked it up to Jade being Jade, settled down on the couch, and started doing your homework. Your stupid teachers had given you not one but two group projects, you hated working with others, and you had to write an essay on the history of microphones. Like, who cares about that boring stuff? Ten minutes had passed and you had no luck putting five sentences together for the opening paragraph. So you gave into your desires to find out what all Jade's standing was about and finally looked back at Jade. She was still planted there, under that weird red and green thing looking at you expectantly.
For what? You had no clue. As far as you knew she threw some mint up there and it got stuck. Though as you looked closer at it, it seemed to be more like grass with a few weird berries on it.
"Seriously Jade, why are you just standing there?" Jade only pointed up at the weird lettuce looking thing.
"The ceiling booger?" You didn't know what to call it so you said the most logical thing, a ceiling booger. After all, that is what you thought it was at first.
Jade looked shocked for one second but was doubling over with laughter the next at your comment.
"Have you-" she wheezed ''never-'' she did once more before stabling herself. "Heard of a mistletoe?"
Your face contorted in disgust and your head recoiled at the name. "Toe? Ew!"
"Oh my god!" She grabbed your wrist, with a very tight grip might I add, a thing she did so often you started getting a red mark there in the shape of her hand and dragged you down into her room. Her room was originally the basement but she converted it into her own gothic bedroom, the wall was padded with a soundproof system to block out all the sounds and keep all her sounds in. It was ideal for her and her parents. She could yell, scream, record music, in peace and quiet, and they could not have to hear her very loud metal music she listened to while sleeping. A classic win-win situation.
-I like to think she turned the basement into her room and padded it so that nothing could be heard, like in an insane asylum-
She then showed you a wide collection of *horror* movies involving the said mistletoe, every single one of the Christmas movies started out all happy-go-lucky to Jade's disgust but all ended with the main couple dead in a ditch or someplace in the woods, not the most ideal of movies for learning but movies nonetheless. After your newfound discovery of the true meaning of the mistletoe, it was your turn to do the very tight wrist grabbing and you dragged her up where she dragged you down right back to where the mistletoe was hanging. You walked right under it, almost mirroring what she was doing when you entered earlier, and grabbed her toward you. You smiled and kissed her sweetly, almost too sweetly. After a short while, you pulled away and touched your forehead to hers in a swift motion.
"Now this is the true meaning of Christmas!"
And with that the two of you spent the rest of the day cuddled up in her bed watching all the gruesome Christmas horror movies Jade wanted.
A/N: This was much shorter than intended... but hey, it's better than nothing!

“Im not babying you, I’m showing you I care!”
Prompt: |"I am not babying you, I'm showing you I care!" | Jade feels under the weather and you take care of a very stubborn Jade. | - x reader gender-neutral -|
a/n: i made another one a long while later, yay.
You had stayed over at Jade's house and slept over, you noticed something while you two were watching 'Toy Story' a movie that you had to practically beg for her to let you put on. She was shivering even while covered with a blanket and cuddled into your side. Though she blamed it on how horrendous the movie was you knew better. So you pulled her closer and kept an eye on her for the rest of your Sunday night. And, to not-your-surprise the next morning you woke up to her shivering with a tissue pressed to her now red nose. You shook your head as she attempted to get ready to go to school.
Of course, you wouldn't let her go to school sick so you swiftly got to your feet and stopped her right as she was about to start to pick out her outfit.
"No ma'am you're not going to school with a cold! Back to bed." You motioned with your hands to emphasize your point.
"But Y/N I'm per- ah- per- achoo!"  She brought her face to the crook of her elbow, you just quirked an eyebrow at her.
"To. Bed." You punctuated each word with a clap.
She groaned in defeat and climbed back into bed. "Fine. I'll stay at home. Whatever. But I'm not sick!" She rolled her eyes at you.
You smiled in victory and went to search for a thermometer, you spotted one in the bathroom, washed it, and brought it back to Jade. "Open." You held the piece of plastic to her mouth.
She shook her head but when you just stared at her disapprovingly she gave in and opened. After the beep, you had an 'I-told-you-so' face on as you read it aloud and flipped it over so Jade could see. 102°F.
"That's nothing! I've gone- to school- with worse." After every couple of words, she wiped her nose. You shook your head at her.
"I'm going to make you some soup- oh- and get some meds." Jade went to protest but you just walked away.
Your first stop was the medicine cabinet. You grabbed the cough syrup. With medicine in hand, you walked all the way back to her room and placed it down on her nightstand.
"I'll be back with tea and soup."
It took you about thirty minutes but you came back with a tray on which a white bowl filled with chicken soup and a matching white mug filled with tea sat.
You placed the tray down on the floor and pulled out the pills she needed to take, "Take these- drink this- and then eat." you said while handing her the syrup.
Surprisingly she put up no fight and complied with your demands. Her face contorted as she took a swig of the syrup.
"Still tastes like shit," She verbally noted.
You laughed quietly and held the mug up to her lips for her to wash away the aftertaste of the medicine.
"What are you doing?" She questioned while pushing the mug away.
Your head tilted ever-so-slightly. "Helping you drink-?"
     "Don't baby me Y/N!"
"I am not babying you, I'm showing you I care!" You pressed on with trying to get her to drink the tea but she stubbornly refused.
"Fine! Do it yourself- please don't burn yourself- I'm going to go find more tissues." You walked out of her room and rummaged around the whole house, top to bottom not finding one pack. Then a storage closet you never noticed caught your eye and inside it was filled with appliances one of them being tissues.
You grabbed them and went back to Jade only to find her struggling with her mug, her cold only making her weaker, though now you think it might be the flu, after all, it just became February.
You rushed over and placed the tissues on the nightstand. "Just let me help you, Jade".
"But I am not a baby!"
"Jade, your not a baby because you need help, your sick just accept it and this could go a lot smoother!" She huffed but allowed you to hold the mug to her lips as she sipped away, relishing in the way it soothed her sore throat. You smiled and went to pick up the spoon for the soup but she stopped you with her hand.
"I may be sick, yes, but I still want what's  left of my dignity, I refuse to let you spoon feed me."
With that, you grinned and nodded, grabbed her phone, laptop, headphones, and placed them next to her. "Need anything else?" She shook her head and focused on getting the soup into her mouth.
You didn't care whether or not you got sick from her so you laid next to her in the bed. After she finished her soup you picked up the bowl and put it in the sink. Once you came back you found her shivering again, and even though you knew you weren't supposed to you wrapped her in your arms and cuddled her.
"Y/N- Y/N don't touch me, you'll get sick!" She frowned at you and pulled away.
But of course, you had other plans. "I don't care if I get sick, just let me cuddle with you. It might make you feel better!"
"But Y/N! I don't want you sick!" You rolled your eyes and opened your arms, waiting for her to get back in them.
She grumbled a few words as she laid back into you. You smiled triumphantly, content with the person in your arms.
A/N: I've never written a sick-fic so I thought I'd give it a try, and I've finally finished 1 out of what is now 3 essays I need to write for school so... yay me? Anyways I only read through this like 3 times so there will probably be a few mistakes, please excuse them.

Jade West X Reader
Prompt: |"Pinky promise you'll love me forever?"| Jade has too much to drink at a party and turns into a softy. |
A/N: this is my first fanfic i’ve written in a while, please excuse the errors, i wrote and edited this at 5 am with no sleep the night before. I’m just getting back into writing so I’m taking the slow road and starting with fanfic before i throw myself back into writing again.                                        -------------------------
You and your girlfriend Jade West had been out a while, partying into the night amidst your old high school friends until three in the morning. Which is when Jade had one too many cups of random booze you couldn't exactly name. She was stumbling all over the place, clinging onto you, and acting almost like a baby. She climbed onto your lap, forced you to cuddle her on one of the many arrangements of seats, and pouted when she wasn't your main attention focus. So of course, the two of you threw in the towel and said goodbye to your friends. Well you did, Jade more clung onto your waist and nearly took you both to the ground numerous times.
"Come on Jade, I know you know how to walk," Jade had quit walking, sat on the ground, and demanded you carried her.
"But Y/NNNN! I don't wanna walk!" Jade furrowed her eyebrows and pouted at you. Drunk Jade was practically nothing like how she normally was, well not really, normally she continuously wanted to be cuddled and wanted your attention but never asked for it and denied most times if offered.
"That's it. Come on," You grabbed her forearm and forced her to stand up as gently as you possibly could.
You grunted and started to drag her slightly, forcing her to walk, "You're not a toddler, you know how to take literally ten steps to the car,"
Soon enough you both made it to your car and you unlocked the passenger door for her to get in. Jade reluctantly and weakly shoved herself in before you buckled her and closed the door. As you climbed in the driver's side you noticed Jade fiddling with the seatbelt.
    "What's wrong Jade?"
"I don't wanna wear this- stupid- thing!" She grunted as she pulled at the seat belt, being unsuccessful in unbuckling it.
You would have rolled your eyes if she wasn't as adorable as she happened to be. With a slight swat of your hand, she stopped and huffed, sinking back into her seat. Halfway through your trip back home you noticed how upset she seemed. 'just like a child', You thought, not in a degrading manner but rather an endearing way. You thought it was adorable how she acted when way too much alcohol entered her system. At the next red light, you pulled out your phone, connected it to the Bluetooth in the car, and handed her the phone with Spotify opened on it.
Jade took the phone, a confused look upon her face. "Put on some music, love" Jade blushed at the nickname but complied. She played one of her favorite playlists and a song that was featured in her favorite movie 'The Scissoring' played. And as you suspected, a smile spread across her face and she was now content.
Not long after you pulled into the driveway of your apartment, you had to literally drag her from the car.
"Y/N! Y/N! I don't wanna go!" Jade struggled against your hands, though it was ineffective and you still managed to get her from the car.
"You can't just stay in the car, let's go inside." Jade shook her head and tried to pull herself away from you like a child trying to get away from their mother.
Jade whined and pleaded but she made no more noise as soon as she hit your shared bed.
"Mmh... soft~" Jade smiled into the pillow and in response, you smiled at her. You took off her shoes, socks, and washed off her makeup. After you brushed your teeth you came back to find her crying while sitting up.
Concerned, you ran up to her spot in the bed, sat next to her, and pulled her close to you.
"Hey, hey, hey, Jade, What happened?" You pet her hair as she lowered her head into your lap.
"Do you love me Y/N?" She asked while staring straight at the wall in front of you two.
"Of course I do angel, and I always will. Where's this coming from?"
"B-but you were s-so mean to me earlier!" Jade explained her thought process.
You sighed a little, "Jade, Jade look at me-" You softly grabbed her chin to make her look at you from your lap. "Look, I only did that because one, you don't need to be carried ten whole steps, two you need to wear your seatbelt in case something happens, I can't have my future wife getting all hurt, and three you need to sleep in a bed, not a car."
Jade slightly nodded at you while you listed off all the reasons why you were 'mean' and how much you loved her.
"Y/N c-can you do something for me?" you nodded and wiped the tears from her face.
    "Anything, my love,"
She blushed and looked away before looking back, "Pinky promise you'll love me forever?" She stook out her pinky and watched you hopefully.
You inwardly chuckled before nodding and grasping her pinky with yours. "Promise, forever, and always." She smiled before demanding more cuddles as you two went to bed. That following morning you would make sure to tease her, but for now, you just enjoyed the moment.
A/N: That's a wrap on the first one shot! First of all, I really wanted to write a super fluffy Jade so I just turned her into a soft drunk, and secondly, Sorry this isn't all that great or very long. This was just a quick fluffy story I wrote at 5 AM before needing to write 2 other essays for school. But, that's all for now! bye-bye!
