Yeah it's still cool

Hm. Bad color bleed. And the yarn doesn't feel very nice after washing/blocking. It wasn't cheap either. I should have done a swatch with all the colors and blocked it, I've had bad luck with bright colors like this before.

Anyway, the yarn is Julie Asselin Leizu fingering if you want to avoid it. The scarf looks nice otherwise, I'll post glamour shots once I've sewn the ends in.

In other news, this is the round 1 sock madness pattern as of yesterday morning. Now I'm past the heel and 3 repeats into the foot. Dozens of people have already finished, I need to see how fast they knit for real. Like my job is so low key I can knit pretty much all day and I'm not really anywhere near finishing one sock

This pattern is called conjoined twins. You knit the socks toe to cuff to cuff to toe then you cut them apart at the end. Amazing!

Buttons! My husband made them from some curly maple he had lying around.

Needs buttons and I'm so happy with it EXCEPT I didn't remember one of the skiens I frogged from the old cardigan was noticeably lighter than the rest and because I knit in a cave I didn't see it until I laid it out to dry. So maybe there'll be an adventure in overdying in my future. Or I'll just wear it in the dark from now on.
