13. What is your OCs earliest memory?

Ann's earliest memory is going to the beach when she was 6 and being terrified of the water because it was cold. She spends more time building sand sculptures than being in the water though.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick.

Her eyes flutter open once again, greeted by darkness. Even though she couldn't see it, above her was a ceiling, craddled around her were her blankets, and still behind her head was the comfort of a pillow. It was just another dream- a nightmare, to be accurate. A heavy sigh, and she closes her eyes once again.

It was the fifth time she's reawoken tonight alone. Nearby, her clock simply labeled time time to be 1:37 AM; it seems her last attempt at sleep only lasted a mere five minutes, even as her dream went on longer than that. Thoughts raced into her head, memories from what seemed so distant yet so close dancing back into her mind, reminding her of the reality. Even as she guised herself with such happiness, deep down... She was rather broken, wasn't she?

Nobody saw her scars, because she hid them. Nobody knew what she did, because she changed her identity. A hand reached to grab at her hair, missing it by a foot's length before realizng how short it was. Unnatural. That word chimed in her head. This wasn't her hair, it was somebody elses-- no, it was her own, she cut it herself. It was messy and frayed, but it was her hair. Quietly shaking off the thoughts again, she turned to her side, forcefully keeping her eyes closed.

But, you're not yourself anymore. You lost your personality. You removed your memories. You became a naive puppet. Is that what you want? Fling, the covers go over her head to block out the voices- such desperation to go to waste, because the voice that spoke was none other than her own. Once you've fulfilled everything you are meant to do, you'll be tossed aside. Mom and dad are already prepared to do that at any moment, but what about your friends? What if they are just like that? People are cruel. People are cruel and harm others-- but isn't that what changed the person in the first place? Violence is answered with violence, and that's life. You can't run from it.

"SHUT UP!" Ann nearly screams, but manages to bite down on her tongue before she made too much noise. The untasty liquid quickly filled her mouth, nearly choking her. The brunette hurriedly sits up, holding her mouth in pain as tears begin to roll down her face. She hasn't cried so long. It was almost calming, to feel warm drops of water stream down her cheeks, so peaceful and comforting compared to the blood violently filling her mouth over and over again.

Silly Ann. You weren't even abused this time. You hurt yourself.

Another gulp of blood. She turns on the lamp to her room and grabs that book that had been on her shelf for ages. Another gulp of blood, she flings open the pages, skipping through the entries until she found a blank page. Another gulp of blood, she grabs her pen, and quickly writes.

November 5 Thinking about things is painful. Somethings I think I should get rid of this journal. What good does it do? It haunts me. It taunts me. It's a reminder who I am is just a lie. I hate it. I hate this journal. I hate myself. That's why I changed, right? To be loved for once..? That won't happen, Ann. Just rest your pretty eyes and hope to fall asleep...

As she finished writing, she couldn't take the pain anymore. The book went flying across the room, hitting the wall and falling to the floor, the pen being tossed away as well. Her head ached. Her body ached. Old wounds she had managed to ignore reopened and stung endlessly. Cradling herself into a fetal position, she quietly rocked herself in order to calm down, singing an old poem.

Another day, another strike. Another day, another strike. He hits the baseball! It flies out of the field!

What if it hurts someone? Be careful what you wish for. Because when you truly want it; It will happen, without question.

Tell Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character confessing something to yours"Hiroki, I can trust you, right?"

The duo found it habit to end up at the maid cafe together- mainly because he always requested Ann to be his waitress. At least it gave her time to relax from her shift, sitting on the other edge of the table nibbling on the dessert he treated her to, it became custom for this relaxing moment to happen once in awhile.

After a pause, the other chuckled. "Of course you can. We're friends, darling." The fact that Ann had trusted him of all people with a secret was almost heart-warming, to be the one she would ask of all the students of the school. Although he didn't show it, he was eager for her to say something-- whether it be a love confession (hopefully) or something even more intriguing.

She merely sighs though, looking away. "It's kind of embarrassing though..." Looking away, she lightly bit her lip, obviously still uncertain about it. A cling as her fork slips out of her fingers and falling to the plate, startling her-- much to Hiroki's amusement as she quickly turns her attention back to the table.

While her focus was back on him, he managed to pull of one of his best smiles and winked. "You can trust me with anything. So whatevers bothering your pretty little head; just spill it. I won't tell anyone. Promise."

"Ah.. Well.. If you say so..." Stuttering, she quickly put her index fingers together, tapping them nervously as she looked down at her dessert. "Hiroki, I'm not sure what to say but I... I..."

"I think I might be gay."

Hiroki did not get the A tonight.

The brunette looked above her to see that familiar leaf hanging above the doorway, Anna silently looking at her as she nodded. Why her of all people had a mistletoe, she wouldn't know, but she gave an innocent laugh. "I guess that means I have to kiss you, huh?" She had read about Christmas traditions in advance-- it was the first time she'd ever celebrate the holiday, after all. This one in particular seemed the strangest, however; a kiss? She's never kissed anybody before.

"Y-you don't have to, it's just..." The younger quickly looked away, clearly embarrassed about the entire scenario. Words trailed off without ever being continued, and just as she was about to back away Ann lightly rested an arm on her shoulder, giving a reassuring smile.

"No, it's okay. If you want a kiss, that's fine with me!" And without further ado, she quickly pecks Anna on the lips, watching her face quickly flush red as the blonde stepped back into her room, hands raised to cover her mouth. "..Huh? Are you okay, Anna?"

"Y-you... You kissed me on the lips..?!"

"...Isn't that how you're supposed to kiss people?"
