Perhaps the funnier part is that the author clearly got bored of the horny pervert comic relief character bit so from Chapter 70 to Chapter 183 he doesn't appear at all in the series. Then from 198 he disappears for even longer and only shows up in chapter 521

Its very sad that his original narrative purpose just didn't get explored further but on the plus side we were mercifully spared from the horny comic relief character for a solid 90% of Bleach's run

Weirdest thing about bleach is that time they introduced a character with actually really compelling and interesting characterisation and then decided he would be a joke forever
