I'm not trying to spread any hate, so please don't misunderstand me. I honestly don't understand how you can like Sai. I seriously can't stand him because of the way he treated Sakura when he first became a member of team 7. He always called her ugly (which by the way she's not. Sakura is beautiful) he let her fall from the tree and injure herself and a lot of other little things he did. Sai is very annoying, even the way he treated Naruto was messed up. And to be honest with you I don't think Sasuke likes Sai very much. Sasuke and Sai as friends cringe 😬 And narusasu 🤢🤮 I'm sorry truly no hate intended and I don't mean to offend anyone. I just wanted to voice my feelings and opinion on this matter.

I'm sorry but the majority of what you said about SasuSaku is wrong!! First of all, Sasuke NEVER rejected Sakura. When he did the head poke it meant that he couldn't commit to her now (due to his trip to atone for his sins) but that he still cares for her and will be back for her. In NO way was Sasuke rejecting Sakura and most definitely NOT implying for her to "back off". Secondly when you said that Sasuke piercing Sakura's heart meant he didn't have any feelings for, again that's totally wrong!! The genjutsu he put her in was so that she would not interfere in his fight with Naruto. It also meant that he couldn't understand how she could love someone broken like him and that she had no reason to love him but it most certainly DID NOT mean he had no feelings for her. Thirdly you said that Sakura did nothing for Sasuke???? Well that's a bunch of BS!! Yes when they were younger Sakura first just had an innocent crush, but as they got to know each better and go on missions together Sakura's crush developed into love for Sasuke. During the time when they had the chunin exams and they were in the "forest of death" SAKURA WAS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT SASUKE BACK TO THE LIGHT WHEN THE DARKNESS FROM THE CURSE MARK TOOK HIM OVER. He always protected Sakura when they were genin and they interacted MANY times with each other and there's more than enough proof of that!! (In Manga/Anime) When Sasuke rescued Sakura from Gaara and Sasuke himself said "I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HURT ANYMORE OF MY PRECIOUS PEOPLE " and he said this when he was carrying Sakura in his arms.... Also 699 ending was not atrocious, it could have been better but was not atrocious. I love SasuSaku and am a huge fan of them but that's not why I'm saying all of this. I just had to reply to this lying comment no way was I going to let this go!! I know there are people who dislike SasuSaku and I really could care less but when they start saying lies about them like Sasuke doesn't love Sakura that makes me so angry because none of that's true!! Sasuke DOES LOVE SAKURA and their feelings ARE connected and the proof of that is the fruit of their love which is their beautiful daughter Sarada!!

About the forehead poke

Before anyone takes this the wrong way, I ship Sasusaku.

So I saw a lot of talk about the panel of Sakura poking Sarada’s forehead in the last Naruto Gaiden, but I look at all of the posts and I think everyone is missing the point of this gesture.

Not entirely, of course, but the thing is, the forehead poke isn’t just “I love you”; It was never just “I love you”.

It is “I can’t be with you right now, but know that I care deeply”.

The forehead poke, always followed by “maybe next time”, was what Itachi did whenever Sasuke wanted to play with him but he didn’t have the time, and you can see its meaning just by looking at it: The arm that separates them indicates some sort of barrier (physical or otherwise) between them, while the two fingers symbolize an emotional connection that extends past this barrier.

The arm is a chasm; the fingers are its crossing.

Itachi came up with the gesture because he was busy with missions and couldn’t give affection to his little brother. The arm were his obligations, which kept them apart, and the fingers where the love he felt for him.

When Itachi died and poked Sasuke’s forehead, the gesture made sense, because there were barriers between them (both death and the fact that Sasuke didn’t understand Itachi at the time), while they also shared a connection (for better or worse, the memory of Itachi would always be with Sasuke.)

However, Itachi broke this trend just before the Edo Tensei was dissipated by joining foreheads with Sasuke; he eliminated the distance. As I see it, it was because even though he would be gone for good, he thought Sasuke had understood him and saw him for what he was. The memory of him would remain in his little brother, perfect and unaltered, so it’d be as if Itachi was preserved in Sasuke – there were no more barriers between them.

And how convenient that Sasuke poked Sakura forehead before leaving for his journey, isn’t it? There was a barrier between them (Sasuke’s need for atonement) which would keep them from being together at that exact moment, but they had a deeper connection, and so the chasm would eventually be crossed.

This is why I don’t think Sakura poked Sarada’s forehead just for the sake of the memory or to say I love you; she was in fact trying to communicate what Sasuke must’ve been thinking:

“I can’t be with you right now, but know that I care deeply.”

That’s why I don’t want to see Sasuke just poking Sarada’s forehead; I want to see him joining his forehead with hers.
