Mosaic Art and Environmental Justice

An interesting combination.

Mosaic art is a surface art made by small pieces of other arts or color materials to form a picture. The original form of mosaic art started 3000 years BCE in Mesopotamia. Artists use a variety of materials to make mosaic art, including glass, ceramic tiles, and stones. Mosaic designs can be simple or very intricate, and they might include geometric designs, animals, or people. The history of glass mosaics shows how ancient people's creativity developed this art form. Nowadays, there are traditional and digital mosaic art (2D), which come with 3D Mosaics like sculptures or architectures. Some popular mosaic artists include Jason Dussault, Eileen McDonough and Nezar Stef. There are many environmental justices that needed to be addressed. Using mosaic art as a way to address is not only creative but also highlight the hidden idea that the artist wants to express too.

Although I would likely not able to make mosaic art, I might say this topic has tremendous ideas to convey the worldwide problems.

Advance poster design

Fixing the needed.

After the critique, I realize that there is more to learn to make the poster visually better and more attractive. Although the graph and the text are visibly more clear, the whole layout could have been better. I tried to highlight the symptoms as they were the most important figures in the poster as well.

I learnt that the color I used in the poster was not mixing well, based on the critique I received. Also, I could relayout the words so that the margin looks better.

Illustrator fits this.

I love the minimal idea in the video, because the vibes from the color soothe the audience, which clearly displays the idea of good morning. Furthermore, the methods using in the video isn't complex and lengthy so that it recaptures the process efficiently.

In the tutorial, you will manipulate the tools to complete the original picture with the use of pen and other functions. Personally, I feel that everyone would more familiar with the Photoshop software.

Personally, my method of changing a background in video/GIF is to adjust the background on every frame - it can be different based on the layout of the background. In my GIF, I changed the scene after the door with another background, trying to give the unexpectation.

While there are free gif makers online, Adobe Photoshop also allows users to simply create frame animation from picture batches. Unsurprisingly, the best way to make GIFs is to take advantage of the MP4 files, commonly know as video files, as they can be imported to the software and adjust accordingly. Another way to create GIFS is to manually create the frames/layers and build the animation.

Impact Frame

Impact frames are stylized drawings hidden within sequences to give them extra pressure and intensity. While they tend to flash for a fraction of a second for the most part, some animators choose to flaunt them instead.

Impact frame are crucial in animation, especially in thriller/action animation where impact frames, dramatic/intensive sound effects and splash effects are applied. The more frames are added within an animation, the better the impact effects are, creating heart-throbbing reaction that attracts viewer to focus on. One example is the fight in anime Mob Psycho 100, season 1. The effects are efficiently used to produce a high-quality animation.

Discussing Collage

Collages are a type of art or graphic design where different elements are combined into a new image with a new meaning. Collages can include photography, drawings, vector illustration, and more.

Peer review for collage is important as the critiques demonstrate the downsides of our work. Critiques help creators and artists identify what they need to work on and update/rework on their product, creating the learning cycle. For example, my collage needs to be balanced more in favor of color, as the vectors of light is overhighlight, compared to the cyborg man. Reviews help me realize what I did not see during the working process.

Afrofuturism art in MET museum

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, also called by MET, has a variety of art genres. Personally, their afrofuturistic art catches my attention as their display of Black culture seems to centralize in a certain object/human in a more abstract way, compared to what I have seen before.

Saturation for beginner

I myself have problem adjusting the overall tone/color when I do the collage. This video dives into details on how I can apply better saturation on my work.

The double exposure effect composed of layering images. You can create double exposures in Photoshop or with digital cameras using a special setting. In Photoshop, you can take advantage of the effect to create a dreamy, otherworldly feel and you can use them for great artistic effect, with both digital cameras and film.
