She tilted her head along with his hand, happy that she make him relax a little. She blushed and smiled at his words, her heart feeling lighter. Her prince liked the way she looked, maybe he'd marry her after all.

He relaxed and sighed in relief. He glanced at her and paused, wanting to do something but was nervous to. Slowly, he raised a hand to her face. It hovered a few inches away. He still wasn’t sure. Taking a deep breath, he gently moved her hair out of her face and mumbled. “No. Don’t cover your face. I-I like it.”

"Meh. I have whole days where I don't remember where I was or what I did." She shrugged. "Mom always looks at me weird after. She put me here because she cares... I think."

Cassie looked at her sideways, that was… “Apparently I jumped out a window and nearly beat a nurse within an inch of his life. I don’t actually remember doing it… it’s a bit, complicated?” She offered raising a brow, things she couldn’t even recall had gotten her sent here.

"If you say so." Artemis shrugged and continued on their way. "We'll get out of here. Not for long though." She nodded her head towatds the blankets These'll help us out the window if we tie'em together. Protect us from the glass if we have to punch is." She opened the door to what she hoped was the bathroom.

"What did I say?" Artemis wasn't one to mock people who helped her. Daddy taught her to be grateful. "Well if we just need to pick a lock I have these babies," She held up a bobby pin, "And my dad taught me how to pick'em." She started her way towards the bathroom, passing by her room. "One sec," Artemis ran in and grabbed her sheets. "Let's go."

"Sorry. I didn't mean to run into you." She grabbed a hair tie from her pocket and put her messy mane into a rough pony tail, "There's an emergency light down this way. They're lit by batteries so they should still be on."

Kaldur took a step back, already stammering his apologies to the blonde in front of him. “I apologize, I was just trying to find someone who could get the lights on again.” He smiled sheepishly. “I…do not like the dark.”

"Sorry. " She picked herself up and dusted herself off. "Then what do you  suggest Blondie?" She convieniently ignored the fact that she was blonde as well. "I just wanna get out of this hell pit for a while" she started jamming her bobby pins back into her hair. "Breathe some fresh air."

Exploration and Discoveries

Artemis was pacing when the power went out. Endless circles in her room because she knew that they had a camera outside her door now. She froze when the light in the hallway was suddenly gone. 

The wind howled outside her window. Throwing on her shoes and grabbing her sweater, she tore out of her room hoping to get out before the orderlies came. She needed to move. 

Artemis's mad dash came to a sudden halt when she ran into someone. Literally

"I mean like voices and thumping. I keep hearing something when I try to sleep." She yawned and raked a hand through her messy ponytail, "So I'm trying to figure out what it is."

Shhh... It's a secret

Zatanna nodded, a slightly confused look on her face. “Zatanna.. Zatara.” Blinking at Artemis introduction she just kept her mouth shut, until the unusual question escaped the blondes lips, “What do you mean?”

The smell took over her senses, making her dizzy for a second. Then she heard the snap behind her. Grabbing some of her acorns she spun around and shot it at the thing. She froze when she saw it. It looked like an overly large humming bird. And it smelled so sweet.

What's Out There?

“I haven’t seen any evidence of it yet, so I…I don’t know how big it must be…”  Megan took the offered hand, crossing the log carefully.  After landing neatly on the ground beside Artemis, she looked around.  The humming and the smell were both obviously nearer, but…she couldn’t tell from where they were coming from now.

She tensed when she heard something snap behind them, she turned rapidly, “Did you hear that?!”

"Artemis." She yawned and stretched, "Whatchoo in for? I'm here for unprovoked fighting and memory loss. Mom couldn't control me so she brought me here."

  Giving the other girl a small smile she nodded, “Okay cool.” She really didn’t look like she belonged here but she gave Artemis a small smile. “I’m Cassie by the way.”

Artemis stilled. What did he mean he wasn't daddy? Of course he was daddy. Did he not want her anymore? Artemis started sobbing harder. "No no daddy. I'll be good. I'll be your babygirl. Don't leave me!"

Cassie rubbed her cast against her leg, it was itching like crazy but she spun around when she heard a voice and stared at the other blonde girl for a moment. “Uh not really… trying to get my barrings…”
