Every fucking time. My first name isn’t uncommon but people mishear it and think it’s something else. My last name is uncommon but easily spelled. But people want to add a fucking S to the end there is no S. That is a completely different name. However, in my line of work I have given up correcting people.

I was going to specify "the first time" but then I realized I'm actually more likely to spell my name automatically if I know they're looking it up in a set of records

I teach math so each of my math folders is a different color!

Okay, I went back to school shopping yesterday and got a green notebook for my literature class because literature felt like a pretentious green to me. I sent this to my partner with the added comment of math is red, but they responded with the fact that math is blue. My mom says that math is red, and my dad says math is blue. But here's the thing: both my mother and I hate math, and both my partner and my dad love math. So, theory, people who hate math think it's red, and people who love math think it's blue. Thoughts?
