The reason these two could never exist in the same time line is columbia would end up killing anglo. He has little patience for men like him especially those who dont seem to comprehend not everyone likes to wear coal dust as an accessory or have their nice well groomed hair be ruffled and knotted.

what has fictional representation of England ever done to you lmaooo. This is equivalent of bad fic writers using russia like a comical big-baddy

The fictional representation of england has done nothing to me. In fact, in most of my aus with friends hes a loving sweet man with a salty temper, zero tolerance for stupidty who loves his husband and family!

I was honestly quite surpised by this ask if im honested. I was expecting people to come at me for my horrible treatment of america in my blogs lol.

As for how arthurs portrayed its quite simple really its an alternate history au. Arthurs supposed to be a bad person. Hes insane driven mad by paranoia that everyone is out to get him. Being the largest power in the world with colonies in every stretch of the world, power gains a lot of enemies. The whole premise behind this blog and its mirror/sister blog @ask-the-new-columbian-colonies is the idea that the war ended (technically a cease fire) at the battle of Monmouth, with a decisive crushing blow through a well planned attack that devastated not only british numbers but moral. The now free american colonies were left to rebuild and start their life relatively free as britian was back home licking its wounds.

During this grace period britian was doing far more than that, and began planning with the prussians and spanish to take the colonies by surprise. In turn the prussians would be given land self govern with in the british colonies in the southern territories hence the name Anglo-prussian.

Arthurs obessed with maintaining his power and keeping everything in control through extreme opression restrictions censorship, and secret police people going missing for speaking out commonly.

The fact of the matter is nothing about arthur is ment to be seen as good or redeming or even as a comical villian trope. You're ment to hate him he's ment to be seen a twisted fucked up monster of a man who has drugged attempted to lobotomize and beat the living fuck out of alfred to keep him from rising up against him. He is the big baddy. he is big brother. He will destroy everything you are everything you love if it means he stays in power. That is the truth of corrupt power.

While im aware as well that this lack of knowledge is my fault. (This blog did just recently go through a revamp and cleaning so a lot of lore was lost.) If you're going to criticize or poke fun at my work I ask that you at least make it constructive. I do have a hard time putting my thoughts and ideas to paper so im aware things get lost in translation. Im very happy and even greatful for criticism when its helpful.

Telling me that my characters views are the equivalent to bad fics using russia as the big baddy doesn't help me find or fix the problem in my writing. I want this au to be smooth and enjoyable for the viewers as much as it is for me to write.
