rafayel is genuinely the best love interest in love and deepspace. don’t get me wrong, i love the others too, but something about his story and character resonates with me so well.

he is not a broken man by any means, but he is someone whose very presence feels all consuming. everything about him is all in. this or nothing, us or no one, and i love that about him.

he’s someone who’s drowning in thoughts too complex for himself to navigate and he simply needs to share that feeling with someone else, you in this case.

i loved the story of intertidal zone. though short, the writers actually popped off because wow, just wow… i’ve said this before already but it just solidified rafayel as my favorite even more.

he is someone whose feelings cannot simply be communicated through words, rather something much deeper. through a look, a touch.
