Daniel William Marsh

Daniel Marsh was born on May 14th (1997)

He said he likes horror movies and watching gore content. Daniel said the violent graphics make him feel safe and "stable." His interest in violent things was the first signal of his thoughts. He said he likes watching the anatomy of the destroyed bodies and how the thing happened.

Daniel had a Tumblr page, and he posted his thoughts and feelings. It was on tumblr when Daniel had his contact with gore videos.

Daniel reported frequent family problems and outbursts of anger from his father during his childhood. At the age of 9, Daniel gained minor media attention for saving his father from a heart attack during a trip they were taking. Daniel saved his father's life by performing CPR.

in the same year, 2008, his parents got divorced because his mom was having an affair with another person, who coincidentally was Daniel's former elementary school teacher. It was at this time that Daniel reported his first homicidal thoughts and impulses in his physical body to hurt someone. He says he thought, planned and wanted to kill the woman his mother was in a relationship with, and felt embarrassed that she had ruined his family. Daniel planned to slit his former teacher's throat, or strangle her to death.

When Marsh was 11, he was diagnosed with adjustment disorder with depressed mood. In seventh grade, he began threatening physical harm. Later, during his teenage years, he began using alcohol and marijuana. He bounced back and forth between his parents' homes until he was 14, when his father kicked him out due to his constant drunkenness and marijuana use. Marsh's mother remained unaware of his substance abuse. Daniel suffered severely from eating disorders, and at the age of 14 he ended up in the hospital due to anorexia. It was at the same age, 14, that Dan experienced a relative worsening in his homicidal fantasies, thoughts and desires. In mid-December 2012, Marsh told a school counselor about his homicidal fantasies, resulting in police arriving at the school. Marsh was then involuntarily hospitalized because of the danger he posed to himself and others.

Marsh was prescribed psychiatric medication to treat his depression. A combination of antidepressants and antipsychotics was used to try to keep the boy stable. Although he did not suffer from psychosis, that is, his thoughts and impulses were not the result of paranoia or unreality, the use of antipsychotics served to control impulsivity, aggression and to work on Daniel's mood. Among the remedies Daniel used included: Wellbutrin, zoloft and abilify

In addition to "casual gore", Marsh also watched "blood porn" videos (which has become popular nowadays as "eroguro"). He also liked serial killers, and admitted to being particularly fond of Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Another thing that was observed about the boy is that he had cases of cruelty to animals. Marsh has killed a cat, kicked a dog and killed a raccoon (as far as we know).

Dan had thoughts of mass murder, such as school shootings, which he himself admitted to wanting to do, and serial murder, saying he wanted to become a serial killer.

Daniel's friends and ex-girlfriend say he had a dark sense of humor and often verbalized his violent desires. They say Marsh was a person with no empathy, which he himself has said. Contrary to what many people may think, Daniel repeatedly asked for help from members of his school's board of directors, and not only reported the presence of violent thoughts, but also described them in a serious and brutal way to his elders. He himself stated that he would be capable of killing someone, and he did not feel afraid about it. However, nothing was done.

The Crime in question

"I - that night I just - I couldn't take it anymore. I had to do it. I lost control," Marsh said.

Marsh planned the murders extensively he taped the bottoms of his shoes shut to avoid leaving footprints and wore gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints or DNA. He also wore black clothing and a black mask and armed himself with a six-inch Buck knife. On April 14, between 2 and 3 a.m., he left his mother's house and wandered the streets of Davis, looking for a house with open windows or doors. According to Marsh's confession, he checked between 40 and 50 houses for open windows or doors.

Marsh stood by the couple's bedside for about 10 minutes and watched them sleep while he decided how he would kill them. During his confession, Marsh described feeling "nervous but excited and joyful" as he did so. It was at this point that Maupin woke up, saw Marsh, and began screaming. Marsh then began stabbing her in the torso. As she was being stabbed to death, Maupin screamed for help and begged Marsh to stop. Marsh later told investigators that her screams for help motivated him to attack her more. Marsh later recalled that "the old lady just wouldn't die." When Northup woke up, Marsh stabbed him until he knew he was dead. Marsh later told investigators that he continued to stab Northup and Maupin after they were dead, saying, "it just felt right." Maupin suffered 74 wounds around her body, including 67 stab wounds. One of the stab wounds knocked out her tooth. Northup suffered 65 separate wounds, ranging from the head to the legs. Sixty-one of them were stab wounds. In total, Marsh inflicted over 128 stab wounds on his victims. In addition to murdering Maupin and Northup, Marsh mutilated their bodies. He cut open the bodies of his deceased victims, examined them, and experimented on them. He also disemboweled them—according to first responders at the scene, Maupin and Northup's organs were removed from their bodies. Marsh attempted to gouge Maupin's eye with the knife, but found it too difficult. He took fat from her leg and torso, and cut open Northup's forehead out of curiosity. He also inserted a cell phone into Maupin's abdomen and a drinking glass into Northup's abdomen.

Daniel said he intended to commit more murders, and even wandered around for a few days looking for victims. Unlike many serial killers, Daniel failed; he made sure to tell his friend and his ex-girlfriend everything, every detail of the crime, bragging about the "work of art" he had created.

In psychiatric evaluations, Marsh was described as a sadistic maniac, as he claimed to have felt pleasure and happiness when murdering people. He was also diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, scoring 35 out of 40 on the psychopathy test.

Daniel gave all the signs, Daniel asked for help. His case clearly demonstrates a lack of preparation on the part of professionals to deal with people who have ASPD, in addition to medical negligence and a lack of professional attention to recognize dangers.

The personality of Eric Harris

Eric Harris was a shy kid who put on a confident front but his diaries revealed a different version when he wrote about hating himself and ragging on people who remind him of himself or look like him. Eric was angry, depressed, suicidal, and homicidal, no doubt about it. He even checked these off on a forum.

When around friends Eric was energetic, jumpy, and funny, showing off and making his peers laugh. He seemed to have sudden bursts of confidence and a persistent personality when it came to girls and dating. He asked Tanya Worlock out ten times.

He had multiple crushes and asked out multiple girls despite being considered generally attractive, either wasn't the girl's types or he gave off a vibe they didn't appreciate. Eric often drove people away and turned them off because of how he acted in the halls of columbine. Often glaring, scowling, frowning, and making crude jokes and talking about wanting to hurt others. 

Despite all of this Eric was proven to be a loyal friend. He talked about missing his friends in Plattsburgh and wrote an essay about the importance of friendship to him. Eric was also described as being very sweet when he was younger, a good kid. He was fairly active and "normal" playing baseball and soccer. "Harris was just so charismatic, but he was definitely angry. There was just this rage in Harris. You either had to follow him or get away from him."

THE FBI "DIAGNOSIS"

The FBI concluded that Harris was a psychopath, who exhibited narcissistic traits, unconstrained aggression, and a lack of empathy. Which from my point of view is a diagnosis extremely "disgusting" Although most of the clinicians spoken to at the time agreed that Eric Harris was a ruthless, cold blooded, psychopath because of his journals Eric also speaks in the tapes saying he "wishes he were a sociopath" so he didn't have to feel guilt or remorse but he does. In conclusion the only real and acceptable diagnosis Eric had for sure was depression and possible OCD.
