SILLAG FESTIVAL - FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Location: Poro Point Baywalk / Poro Point Freeport Zone, City of San Fernando, La Union
Sillag or in the Iloco dialect means “illumination from the moon”. This is a festival being celebrated in the province of La Union.  As far as I can remember, this was first celebrated back in 2011. Several events are being held yearly to showcase what the province could offer.
This year, we are lucky to witness this for the very first time. Seriously, I am out of words. This is one of the best festivals and the most bokeh-licious I have ever experienced. To those of you who have not tried it yet, I would recommend you to add this to your next travel-list.

One of the highlights of the festival was the exhibition of jet flyers by one of the most prestigious aviation schools in La Union.

Of course, Mom has enjoyed seeing these lovely Bonzai exhibits.

The bokeh-licious trade fare! Yes, if you are a fan of bokeh photography, this is surely for you. Definitely, this site will give colors and life to your photographs.

There were light shows, too - Pyromusical Display, Light Parade, and the spectacular Drone Show (if you are following me on Instagram, for sure, you have seen how lovely it was).

One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the Float Parade of Lights.

Obsessed with cherry blossoms but don’t have the time or budget to visit Korea? Not a problem! You can now experience that ‘Cherry Blossom Feels’ here in the Philippines.
Note: They are not real cherry blossoms but instead they are ‘sinigwelas’ trees. Their flowers have a resemblance with cherry blossoms - pink, tiny and eye-catching. Their flowers bloom during the start of summer season from March to April.
Where you can find them? Well, typically, they grow near the seashores of Luna, La Union and I also saw some of them in different Provinces in the North.

Simple Living. Happy Faces.
This is probably one of the best photos, if not, the best photo I have ever taken from my camera. It does not only depict the simple yet happy living in rural areas but also how different generations love each other.
This Valentine’s day, I’d like to show you a different type of love - a love of her grandchild to her grandparents, a love of a parent to her children and a love of an aunt to her niece.
People really keep on searching for love. But they do not realize that genuine love is everywhere.
Advance Happy Heart’s Day, everyone.
PS: Naghahanapan po sila ng kuto. Hahahaha

You are my greatest asset. You are the most valuable thing in my life. It’s your sweet, cute, love and caring that my heart needs to beat. I can’t deny that I’m an adult now. But I still feel like a little boy when I’m with you. I love you, Mom. You are and will always be the queen of my heart.

Finally Back at Blogging
Okay. I know I’ve said this a hundred times already. It’s quite ‘gasgas’ na. My apologies for being so idle these past few months. I’ve had a lot of things on my plate that I I did not know what to eat first. Glad, busy days are almost over - that’s why I am trying to get back at blogging again.
What’s new?: Recently, I was on the dilemma of choosing whether to buy a new phone or a digital camera. Yaas, had a hard time deciding as my phone is already 3 years old but still works perfectly fine but at the same time, I’d like to buy a DSLR to step up my photography game. I’ve been blogging for over 2 years now and have been using my phone to take photos for my blogs. I spoke with my Mom and she advised me to go with DSLR. Mothers know what’s really the best. So far, I’m pretty satisfied with my new purchase.
Nuff of that bragging thing. Just wanna thank my followers for staying, for not unfollowing me when I was missing in action. I am not gonna promise to post regularly but I’ll surely post some updates once I have some free time.

What a fantastic year. I’ve met not only new people but also some goals I’ve set this year. I must say it was a bit tiring but still thankful as I’ve grown up and learned new things. And most importantly, the year gave me someone - my happy pill and my constant inspiration. Danke schön, 2018. Du bist ganz toll! ❤️🌸🎁

Panagbenga 2018 With My Miss Universe
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cold weather. Good food. Beautiful people. Majestic sceneries. These are just some of the things that best describes Baguio City. A week ago, Mom, Lola and my cutie cousin went to Baguio to witness the highlights of Panagbenga Festival 2018. Their two days stay here was one of the most tiring days of my life as we did a lot of activities. First and the best activity we did was picking strawberries at the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet. It wasn't our first time here but still a place we would visit every time we travel to Baguio.
Tumblr media
Strawberries from here are really sweet. So if in case you set foot in Baguio City, this is a must-try destination. A basket of strawberries cost around 450 pesos and you have the chance to pick them right from their stems.
Tumblr media
Right after, we went ahead to Mines View Park. Got the chance to have a picture with this cute horse. Taking a picture isn't free though as you have to pay about 50 pesos per 2 shots.
Tumblr media
Of all the pictures we had, this one was my favorite. I look a bit clingy here but is worth posting. Guys, may FOREVER! It isn't obvious that I am a Mama’s Boy.

2017 was hella a roller coaster ride for me. Enjoyed its ups and downs and screamed at the top of my lungs. Even though I wasn’t able to meet all the goals I set this year, still thankful as there were a lot of great things happened. I’m welcoming 2018 with open arms. Already prepared my bucket list to be ticked and so excited to see what this year has for me. Happy New Year, everyone!

Apart from the vegetarian dishes and the breath of fresh air from the vast farming lands, what I really missed here in my hometown is that I get to sleep beside sacks of rice grains. This reminds me so much of my childhood. This is where I spent my memorable and happy kiddo days. This place will always have a huge part of my heart. I will always be this little farm boy no matter what.

Dear whoever made this artwork,
I was browsing wallpies over the internet the other day then I came across with this digital art. I was so surprised ‘coz I am seeing myself in this photo - from the color of the hair and even the haircut to the skin color to the way how the sleeves were rolled and even my fascination to florals. This is so me. It feels like this was really made for me.
I didn’t alter any single color or part of your piece of work. In fact, I am now using it as my phone’s lock-screen and home-screen wallpaper. I really loved it.
Love Lots, MA Riotoc

The art in your skin.
If you are following me on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noticed that I have been posting topless photos recently. My apologies for that folks.
As a person who has a great fascination for art, I firmly believe that our body itself is a piece of art. Every part of it can express something. The way you stare at the camera can mean something, it can show the deepest emotion you have inside you. The color on your hands may exhibit the struggles you have been through. Make use of your skin to show who you are.
Flaunt it! Just don’t forget your limitations. It doesn’t mean you have to be naked, you just have to use your skin to express yourself.
