well... what now doc?
* AT THIS POINT IN SPACETIME, WE MUST WAIT FOR THE QUEEN.
* BUT IT WILL BE A WHILE BEFORE SHE FINDS THE TRUTH…
* I WONDER IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT I COULD DO.

...On second thought, this may not be such a good idea. There might yet be a way to do this by gaining their trust. Toriel and Asgore could also help with that. Gaster, could you please disregard that earlier plan? Same goes with the rest of you askers, please. I don't like this idea anymore.
* IN PURSUIT OF ONE OUTCOME, COME COUNTLESS IDEAS.
* IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO UNCOVER THE BEST.

Bear trap
* EVEN IF SUCH A THING WOULD WORK ON THE CHILDREN, YOU KNOW – AS DO I – THAT THE QUEEN WOULD REFUSE.

Well, there's always any Monsters able to do the Green SOUL mode, which prevents them from escaping. There's also the Blue SOUL mode too, which could keep them grounded. You have anyone here who could do that?
* TRAPPING THEM WITH THE TRAPPINGS OF A FIGHT…
* ALAS, I KNOW NO ONE WITH MAGIC LIKE THAT.
* STILL, I AM SURE THE QUEEN WOULD WISH TO CONFRONT THEM. MORE LIKE THAN NOT, WE WILL SEE THEM ONE DAY.

* OH! YOU MEAN THOSE MACHINES INSIDE THE LIBRARY.
* SADLY, IT SEEMS THEY’RE ALL OUT OF COMMISSION, AS WELL AS ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC TECH HERE.
* BUT YOU NEED NOT WORRY FOR MY FAITH IN YOUR WORDS. I DO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE TELLING THE TRUTH.
* SO WHAT IS THIS PLAN OF YOURS? WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

I would've preferred to warn him first that the true nature of Chara's death was not pretty, but there's no point now... Asgore, sire, Chara's death was not the result of an illness. It was a suicide. They killed themselves by eating buttercups, getting the idea from how you got sick. They did this so that Asriel could absorb their SOUL and pass through the barrier so they could get the SOUL's to break it. It was all part of Chara and Asriel's plan. And it worked to horrific results.
@anonymous said:
Oh yeah, Chara chose buttercups as a method of off-ing themselves. Probably got the idea when they accidentally poisoned Asgore and noticed you didn’t know what medicine was. Sounds like a sure-fire, though gruesome, way of doing it so they could set off the plan to murder the surface
@anonymous #2 said:
…Chara killed themself for everyone’s sakes. They did not mean harm with it. They just wanted you all to be happy.
@anonymous #3 said:
Ah. Well. I guess not. But they did. They ate buttercups until it killed them. I guess they thought they deserved to die the way they poisoned someone they cared about.
* …Excuse me.
* (Asgore has stepped out of the conversation, again.)

*Wh… What…?
* What did you just say…?

I mean, maybe? A plants is what hurt him in the first place, and a lot of medicines are made of plants
* YOU DO HAVE A GOOD POINT. BOSS MONSTERS DO DIFFER.
* BUT WE’VE FAR MORE PRESSING MATTERS TO DISCUSS HERE.

Tell me, you know when Asgore ate that pie with the flowers in it that nearly killed him? Humans have a science for that that would have been able to fix him without having to wait it out. It's called medicine. It would have saved Chara too
* R-Really?!
* AH! BIOLOGY.
* … I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT WOULD HAVE WORKED FOR THE KING.
* BUT IT MAY HAVE BEEN SOME USE IN HELPING THE CHILD…
* ALAS, NO ONE HERE IS TRAINED IN THAT SCIENCE.

Oh right, duh. You all have healing magic. Of course you wouldn't invent medicine
* (You still don’t understand what this means, right? It’s not just me?)
* (NO, IT IS NOT JUST YOU.)

No not you. I meant like a medical doctor. You DID get a medical doctor for Chara, right Asgore?

That's not the issue I'm talking about- look, there's no way the whole world WON'T be abuzz about an all-powerful monster attacking humanity. Seriously, check the news. Anyways, there's another issue at hand with this new barrier, one that I'll highlight as soon as she gets back and we're past this irritating "prove it" business.
* This is the second time you’ve mentioned “the news”…
* What do you mean, exactly? It’s not as if we are receiving newspapers from the humans…
* And it is safe to say that Tori will not be coming back anytime soon. She does have those plans to create, after all, and that will take some time…
* So you may as well tell us what this issue is with the new barrier.

Well If you want proof we met them, we know one of Asgores last words to Chara, something only they and a doctor should know. "You have to stay determined! Don't give up! You are the future of humans and monsters."
* Oh! You do not need to convince me. I believe you.
* Though, that is not exactly what I said… so I do not think Tori would believe that you learned it from Chara.
* WHY WOULD I KNOW WHAT THE KING SAID TO THEM?
* I WAS NOT PRESENT FOR CHARA’S DEMISE.

Old barrier was made by seven souls. Guess where they got the extra soul power from?
* Er, well, as Tori said, we already know that Asriel and Chara killed the inhabitants of this village…
* A barrier doesn’t prove they’ve killed any additional people, I suppose I should say.
