Hey, I'm Lucas. I'm 17 from England. I'm autistic, bi (prefer men) and nonbinary. I go by they/them. I really love Carrie White, writing, studying, cosplaying, and talking to new people! Feel free to message me.

Are her nails painted red? I always imagined she did that for prom to match her dress

I’m about to Nerd so it’ll be a whole essay:
I honestly think any Carrie remake could be valid (there’s a Valid TM joke in there somewhere) if it followed the book, like, word for word. We’ve had our artistic interpretations, now it’s time for a book to screen adaptation completely excluding any of the previous adaptations.
An unconventionally attractive, chubby Carrie with acne and wiry dull hair
A sadistic and unloving Margaret (who’s also overweight, bordering on obese)
The red dress
The King & Queen Thrones
Two buckets of blood instead of one
Carrie running out of the school and thinking Tommy was involved and being happy about his death: “(tommy’s dead full price paid full price for bringing a plague into the place of light)”
The Angel and Biblical symbolism, implying Carrie is God’s Angel of Vengeance sent to destroy Chamberlain for its Sins: “There was something she needed to do...something about roadhouses, parking lots...and an Angel with a sword.”
A more book accurate prom scene, with Carrie looking in at the students like mice in a cage as she electrocutes them
TOWN DESTRUCTION
Carrie killing her mom before killing Chris and Billy
Carrie crawling three miles while bleeding to death out of sheer determination to destroy the roadhouse
Carrie burning down the place where she was conceived
Carrie’s telepathy
Sue and Carrie’s mind-interaction
The reincarnation implication at the end
The White Commission
Chamberlain becoming a ghost town
I know we don’t need another Carrie remake but listen:
Carrie remake except it’s ANIMATED

In the book she was a sadistic bitch and that’s that on top of that. In the musicals and in the 2013 movie she was extremely ill and I think she had the best intentions for Carrie, but went about it in all the wrong ways. Not excusing it, but I think if she had gotten help she could’ve genuinely gotten better, unlike book and 1976 Margaret, who took pleasure in torturing Carrie.
Actually, book Margaret reminds me alot of Gertrude Baniszewski, and Carrie reminds me of Sylvia Likens:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Sylvia_Likens
I often wonder if King based their relationship at all on that case, since it happens a few years before King wrote the book.
Book Margaret is a cunt and that’s all I have to say on the matter
Musical Margaret is. Significantly better but is still abusive at worst and manipulative at best
Movie Margaret umm

Carrie sitting in biology class in 6th grade learning that sex is how you make a baby after 13 years of Margaret’s hypocritical ass telling her sex is evil and that she never did it and to never do it:

girls don’t want boys, girls just want to be emotionally compromised by fictional villains with tragically lonely backstories.
