I find it funny when people call me “Mapleshade apologist” just because I don’t treat frecklewish/appledusk as innocent babies. Ive said over like 100000093363638 times that Mapleshade isn’t in the right and is a terrible person, just because I call out another characters actions for being a terrible person doesn’t mean I agree with another characters actions??  just because I like her as a character doesn’t mean I agree with her actions and just because I’m criticizing other characters doesn’t mean I agree with her actions

The amount of ppl defending frecklewish's actions towards mapleshade n her kits aka her attacking a mom in front of her children and then screaming at said children and letting all of them be exhiled.... The amount of people literally telling me to k*ll myself or go to hell and other stuff because I don't like Appledusk or Frecklewish really scares me and sometimes it gets to me and makes me think I'm doing something wrong having sympathy for Maple even though she's a villain.

But like.. She is not the only person who did something wrong..

I'm going on a tangent, anyways. Thank you. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one and that there is some people who don't listen to The Maple Problem like a bible..

im so sorry about that that’s awful! It’s so stupid how people will send literal death threats over liking a fictional calico cat. But I’m glad I can make you feel a bit more comforted and not so bad about liking a character who it’s 100% OK to like!!<3

Also Everyone did something wrong in the book and for some reason this isn’t a popular opinion anymore? I don’t really understand why since everyone in the book did something wrong and it wouldn’t really work to pin the entire blame on one character. I just wish that people would hold other characters that did something wrong accountable and not just her and not say she did stuff that she didn’t (I mean she’s a murder, you don’t need to make up bullshit  to be able to call her a bad person because she literally committed murder).

Honestly I could go on for a while on all my issues with the Mapleshade problem as I have a lot of them but I won’t get into that here because it will be too long.

Personally, I found him super annoying when he was just. Whining 24/7 but looking back I can yell at my younger self for that because he didn't wanna be a doctor!!

I love him now, and he should've been a warrior.

Frecklewish was negligent towards the kids drowning when there were things she could’ve done.

feels like people are way overcompensating for the mapleshade stanning that happened years ago and are now seeking to blame her for literally every possible thing they can regardless of whether or not she did it. like do people realize you can be both a villain and a victim? she did very bad things but that doesnt mean she wasnt treated in a horrifying manner before her snap.
